Funny how i was posting on the TL vVv gaming thread on TL and then saw this a couple of days later. I understand the excitement of Reere getting onto vVv's Aspire team(Academy?) but i would recommend reading this thread for a good idea of the community's view on vVv.

I had the worst experience playing against/with various vVv guilds in MMOs, especially in Aion and Aika. Sometimes they are named vVv, other times they are not but claims to have an affiliation and constantly advertise how awesome vVv is. The elitist attitude these players/guilds showed totally go against the values you kept trying to shove into our faces via the video. Not surprisingly, the first vVv player i met on SC2 ladder, vVvRuFF, is one of the most BM player on the NA ladder. He cheese, he win, he mocks you. He cheese, he lose, your hacking or is an extremely lucky bastard. Even vVvTitan has gone full retard once in a awhile when a no-name beats him.
Most of the hate/distaste goes towards how vVv and their owner did so little for their players yet demand so much and even making it public. Feel free go dig up a post which LordJerith went full retard and then got totally shut down by the TL community. Almost all their ''Pro'' players except RuFF has left the team. If you scan through the thread, you can see some of them like blade555 having some ''Not so nice words''.
These are just my opinion, hope Baldie and Reere wont be offended by this post.

No offense taken
I've been aware of that thread for a while now too. My personal experience with vVv so far has been both pleasant and educational. Perhaps the issues did exist back in the day, but being constantly in touch with the organization for over a month now I haven't experience any hints of the negativity that were brought up in the thread.
Thank you for bringing it up though, nice to still know us SEAs are always looking out for each other's backs^^~
vVv had a bad reputation from the days before. There were rules in place, which could put off people for sure. Also, LordJerith, as nice person as he can be, could be very blunt and harsh, and that is often not accepted well - but he is not around as much and does not make the decisions now, as he has stepped down as a President of the organization.
The whole organization was re-structured, some rather obnoxious rules were removed and we also have a new SC2 management. That means a new SC2 manager person and well, since I'm in charge of the Academy team, it means my word is taken heavily into consideration as well. I love SC2 and I won't let it happen that we keep having this bad reputation. I'd not be part of vVv if something shady was going on and I'm trying my best to fix the damaged reputation vVv has suffered because of bad/in-experienced decisions of previous management.
Hope that answers your questions - needs to be said, that I personally find it very discouraging to find only the hate around my team; but I guess I can't expect to build Rome in just one day, as we are fixing the damage done in the coure of longer period of time.

Solid stuff, it'll take a while. but good luck! I've heard nothing but good things about yourself & the "Aspire" program.

I try, trust me, I try. Just gotta feed that passion of mine, and I'll be damned if I can't fix what was broken. vVv has really passionate community around it, so it's a pleasure to work with them. Normally I don't even step up like that to defend myself & my Aspire team, because I don't like exposure, lol. But, I just wanted to set things straight here, as Reere is a valued member of mine and I wanted to make things clear; as I also heard nothing but good things about SEA community.
