In his first tournament appearance since joining the Western Wolves, Ju

"Sting" Hoon has taken first at IEM Singapore. The former New Star HoSeo player, who put himself on the radar with a fourth place finish during TSL4, managed to recover from a disappointing group stage performance to fight through a gauntlet of tournament favourites including Lucifron, YugiHo and Vortix before facing Grubby in the Grand Final. His strong macro based bio play was able to weather the literal and figurative storm that his opponent threw at him as he shut down Grubby's come back momentum with strong one base strategy to finish the series.

grubby was my champion of the tournament!! so many amazing games that came down to the final game. but ofc grats to sting to on his first well deserved big win that guy is so cute when he was trying to talk to ninja in english.

Jarett Cale is getting better and better as a host. really happy IEM came to singapore this year !

Seriously though it was a thoroughly enjoyable tournament and Sting is very deserving of his victory. Nice to see a Terran win a tournament too :P.

Grubby definitely the people's champion!
He played amazing amazing comeback games against MC and Slivko and almost pulled it off against Sting.
One of the craziest PvP game i've seen in Game 5 vs MC!
Just watch all his games!

And of course, not taking anything away from WWSting's win. His bio play was really entertaining to watch. So much aggression!
Fighting his way from the open brackets and then from the Ro12 onwards, he 3-2'ed his way to victory!
Mad props to the winner of IEM Sting-apore!

Have to say sting played pretty balla this tourney from going 3-2 in his group qualifying 3rd then winning every match 3-2 in the knockout brackets. Undefeated in game 5s! Amazing!

It was a great experience to be there for the semis, the crazy FFA (great commentating) and finals. Such a huge crowd, great games, great people.

This event was a blast to be at and even better to have the chance to observe and hang out with my hero Jarett Cale! Super awesome guy and i won't forget this anytime soon

Congrats to sting! Im still sad that Grubby lost tho =(

Oh well it was a great event! I Met so many SEA players which made me happy... tho I was really busy and didnt get to hang out much which also made me sad =(

I learnt so much about admining and running a big event like IEM! Its so freaking amazing the job these guys do and I give them all my respect.

Thanks for watching guys and thanks to those who came down and supported us at the event!

Fulfilled some of my nerd dreams with giving some of my favourite people my linoblock prints (esp Artosis!) and taking photos with them!
