Two Articles i have always wanted to write but never had the time
Article 1. Types of fourm users on SC2SEA
Kinda a tounge-in-cheek look into the various types of personalities on sc2sea
1. The fanboy
This guy loves everything you post. Made an ill-timed joke? Said something wrong? Don't worry he has your back and will defend your honour until his last dying breath. Did somebody disagree with you? Well bad move, your fan boy is ready to unleash hell. Made a normal post? Expect to be exalted to the high heavens. Often gives you many hearts and +1s because you're awesome... to him!
2. The V for vendetta
The polar opposite of the fanboy. Perhaps you voiced your opinion and disagreed with him sometime in the past on a freaking forum. You don't even know what about because it was so insignificant. But what you do know is this guy took it personally and now hates your guts. A lot. Be prepared to see a negative or snide remark coming from him every time you posts. Like a dirty underwear stain, it will probably never go away. Oh well.
3. The New to the internet guy
A friend of wall of text and no-formatting, this guy really just good at heart but apparently its the first time he has used a computer. His posts often look like thoughts from his concious stream before they have been made decipherable to other humans by the brain and he often asks silly stuff or make threads like "SEA server??" which was a poorly named title for "So what countries are on the SEA server" which of course should have never been a topic in the first place because it can be simply googled.
etc
Article 2. Forum etiquette, the do's and don't
Recommended and non-recommended behaviour on sc2sea and a short rationale why at the end.
DOs: Positive feedback on obviously good articles / content
That was a fantastically well written article. May a squadron of beautiful virgins find their way to your groin by the end of the day.
Don'ts: Ignoring all that is good to focus on really minor stuff or to attack the person just because you don't like him!
This article is terrible, you forgot to put a fullstop at the end of this sentence. And your face looks like my groin and i bet you're still a virgin.
Why?
Disagreeing its obviously fine, but when people take the time to produce content we want to encourage such behaviour and let them know how much fun it was reading what they did. It will encourage others to want to produce content or the original author to produce more of it. Meaning win-win for all!! If its a small typo thing just PM them about it theres no need to point it out like that, as if it was the only thing you took from the article. And if you don't like the person just don't say anything, the article isn't an opportunity for you to have a go at him.
If anyone is keen to take it up feel free to do so.
