So, who has it? I just finished it on Veteran on PC, which was surprising easier than I expected, as I was a console veteran buff, completing CoD2, CoD4, WaW and MW2 all on Veteran and getting 1000/1000 gamerscore from each. (More fro,m WaW due to zombies ^_^)

I think the plot is indeed interesting, even though many people are bitching about it. I personally think its fine. The AI is still retarded and multiplayer spawns are terrible.

All in all, would you say it's worth getting? I liked MW2 a lot, although just stopped playing after a while.
The more I see of black ops the more tempted I am to just buy it off of steam like right now, but for some reason I'm still not sure :|
Also I dunno why, but the single player doesn't look that fun lol might be just me

Get it for console if you can, 18 player FFA on Nuketown (which is kinda like playing on Blood Bath) is horrible. It's a console game that they just ported to PC.

Single player was quite good I thought though.

seriously you spawn behind people its horrible, grab it if you just like quick deathmatch fast type games, otherwise get Bad Company 2 its miles ahead a better game.

Hey huT, could you give me tips for WaW Veteran campaign? Playing on 360 atm, up to the flame thrower mission where you have to flush out the mortar pits. On to the 3rd pit, I'm sure I'll get it if I keep trying. Averaging about 10 deaths between each checkpoint through the campaign, some I can get without deaths, some I die around 50 times haha. Just so bad at campaigns and help will be appreciated

I never bought Black Ops; purely because I dislike Treyarch as a developer; they seem to run off the ideas of Infinity Ward except... always have a habit of making it a touch less refined and a touch more sloppy (strictly imo, ofc).

But seeing as Infinity Ward won't be making the next CoD game in the franchise; I guess my FPS games will now be shifted over to the Battlefield series; speaking of which BF3 (produced by DICE) looks like it's going to be awesome!

I quit black ops 5 days after i got it (and i got it on the first day of release). The game just bore me, wasnt as entertaining as MW2 and it was hard to play with friends. (PC version) I have like 200+ friends on Steam and it doesnt filter the ones that didnt have black ops so i would have to spend minutes just finding someone to invite them to the game which would probably be full by then.

You have to grind it pretty much. If you think that's a bitch, just wait til you get upto Heart of the Reich...

Breaker, at least Treyarch bother to fix their games And HuT, yeah I've realised that now haha. Especially as the game didn't save properly on the mission I'm on, and I turned my xbox back on to play it and had to re-do the first 2 mortar pits = not a happy David.
Black Ops and MW2 are the complete opposite of each other. MW2 was a horrible game in all honesty, but was damn addictive and fun to play, whereas Black Ops is a great game but I just can't get addicted to it.

Don't think so,although a lot of people play it a lot of those people bitch about it. CoD has been milked for far too long, meaning the franchise has been going on for way too long. People are drifting to fresh franchises like KillZone, Gears of War, maybe Battlefield etc.

Campaign felt like they were subbing AI with sheeer numbers on the PC version at least =P I miss mw2.

Infinite respawns and shitty AI made the campaign terrible. I stopped playing at a mission where I had to get down some hill. Freaking impossible when the enemy just keeps spawning all around you. While your "team mates" just sit there and don't do anything.

Then there's online. Spawn, walk literally 3 steps and get shot in the back. Or walk 10 steps then get blown up by an RC. Not the mention the terrible maps with no sniper spots. Snipers are designed for long distance kills. When nearly every map is big enough to throw a grenade across, snipers are just impossible.
