Should we look at making ACL VaNzR post its own thread so people dont miss out. This news post is starting to become old news. This is kind of very important information for a lot of people.
I hope these alternatives pan out. Im guessing they are going to need a new set of volunteers to help out with this as well. Given most of your helpers are going to be at the main event. Although my plans to travel to Sydney at this point have stopped if/when I resume them I will look into helping out if I can.

Pretty sure the details will appear on the ACL site, i'll advertise the hell out of it when it's up. People won't miss out.
What should the people do that grabbed surplus tickets or for some reason have a ticket they are no longer using?
Examples
- if someone grabbed 4 tickets, 1 for themselves and 3 for mates and legitimately want them/are going
- if someone greedily grabbed 4 tickets but only need 1 for themselves and dont need the rest
(before someone asks, no i only have 1 myself)
The organizes are trying to stamp out anyone who bought more than 2 tickets 1 for yourself 1 for a friend. All other transactions would been seen as dodgy. This gives other people who missed out a chance to get tickets.
My question is If you registered multiple tickets for friends under the one name e.g. 12 tickets registered to hag scalper, wouldn't it be easy to check duplicate named tickets and reissue those as well, rather than relying on email confirmation. Otherwise people with multiple emails can confirm multiple tickets when they all the duplicate names.
Tasteless, why don't you visit your father here in Jakarta, Indonesia?

Due to the high demand for the Blizzard WCS event and the extremely fast ticket sell out time we have made extra arrangements to try and accommodate those who missed out. Below outlines further ticket plans and information that both current ticket holders and people seeking tickets should be aware of.
"On Wednesday 1st August all current ticket holders will receive a confirmation email that asks them to let event organisers know of their intent to still attend the event. If ticket holders reply letting ACL know that they will no longer be attending"
Can I please get clarification that you only have to reply if you are no longer attending? It seems pretty obvious but I would like to be 100% clear on this.

Mate of mine has arranged tickets - for him and a friend. My mate from Brisbane booked the tickets in his name. He couldn't get an earlier flight and doesn't land till 11am on Saturday - doesn't plan on getting to ATP till Saturday afternoon. The +1's to the initial booking wants to get in earlier. Is this possible? or does the person with their name on the booking have to rock up with ID and bring in their +1 at the time?
I think there are a few questions about the claiming of tickets and how this process will work... :S

Good thing there are confirmation e-mails being sent out on Wednesday! I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to clear it up then.
