Back in March Mayo posted the very scary "WCG Go Mobile Only" thread. I didn't follow what happened after that too closely but believe it turned out that leaked letter was true, but in the end WCG decided to change their mind about it. So its official, Starcraft 2 will be played at WCG this year!

The WCG 2012 Grand Final will be held in Kunshan International Exposition & Convention Center in Kunshan, China from November 29th to December 2nd.

w00t that is seriously awesome.

As a long time BW fan it was seriously tragic to see it go. Now fingers crossed we can make this happen in Australia on such short notice!

It's good they've decided to reinstate non-mobile games... But from Samsung's point of view using the WCG brand to market mobile phone games is a win for them.

Personally i think it sux they were even considering it, but it makes sense for them.

Good they picked up sc2, I think they should have picked up LoL over wc3, I dont play LoL and think its a dumb game but you cant deny its not helping e-sports

So surprised (AND HAPPY!!!!!!) to see War3 returning for one final year.

I think the final destination being China has a huge impact on that decision.

I hate LoL but I really think that it's too big to leave out of the WCG. It's so good for viewers and would really have helped E-Sports. Although Starcraft is better in every way.
