Round Robin competition I'm guessing?..
a Bo3 each?.. or just Bo1? - and if it is Bo3 does it just count as a win or does the map score come into play also?
I'm sure you'll have all these details soon.. but just curious.
Oh and to assist with transparency in future - I'll be converting my points spreadsheet to a google document so you guys can keep tabs on your progress any time you like, rather than getting updates at the end of each league.
We'll play it out the same way GSL does their groups.
but two get thru from GSL groups.. two games, then winner v winner/ loser v loser - would only need to play the Winner v Winner match to get the player going 2-0...? but then it comes down to the luck of the play your against 1st game... wouldn't a Round Robin > game then Map score to rank the top player...? with each set a Bo3?..
I've begun contacting the players who will be selecting their groups. It'll go down like this:
The bottom 4 (16, 15, 14, 13) have been placed in separate groups.
The top seed (1) will determine where the 12th person will go.
The last seed (11) will pick his own group.
10th, 9th and 8th will do the same.
We continue up the list until everyone (7-1) has been slotted.
Even though 16th hasn't been established yet, they have already been allocated a group. Be careful!

sorry just a bit confused..
Oops, I meant to write "ACL", not "GSL", haha. Awkward. Reading a thread about GSL whilst writing a post about ACL = bad.
Here's a hypothetical scenario:
HuT 1-2 kez
yang 2-1 EdgE
kez 1-2 yang
HuT 0-2 EdgE
HuT 2-1 yang
kez 2-1 EdgE
In the above example, both kez & yang are tied 2-1 on matches (and 5-4 on map score), but since yang beat kez 2-1, he's awarded the 16th slot.
I meant the tie between myself, ray, glade, mafia -- how do you determine who is first out of us four (thus, fourth seed) as wouldn't they get an advantage over the others?

I thought the way GSL does it, they have the top 4 seeds in 4 different groups, then each one picks a player to go inside their group - then the next person in that group who got picked does the same, and so on?
Wouldn't this way be harsh for like say the top 2 seeds ultimately not getting to choose their groups but end up with the last 2 remaining spots? (Assuming its 4 players in 4 groups by the end of it )

I was originally gonna go with that, but the whole 11/5 & Open Bracket dynamic makes it pretty clunky. The groups won't necessarily be 4 in each once everyone is finished picking - Group C for example already has 6 people!
