There are many things you could do with this idea. My idea is as follows...

Various people each week are tasked with finding an opponent to have a grudge match against. At the end of a set number of weeks the winners of each of the grudge matches face off in a single elimination tournament with the winner crowned gladiator (or something). Then the process could repeat itself.

Of course there doesn't have to be a tournament at the end, I just liked the idea of the grudge match winners facing off against each other.

Dont think grudge matches is the right term to use there tbh. We're all too nice to constantly be challenging each other WWE style FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

I suggest if you go with the poll that you have an 'up and coming' week were only 'up and coming' players can be voted for. This will allow more people to have a go and also help eliminate 'popularity wars' for voting.
