I also like this idea. I just worry that we see the popular 'top' players all come up first so you end up with the last surviving one of these just beating up on the lesser known challengers who don't get the votes at first. Maybe the format can be tweaked if other people think it's an issue.

something I was thinking of was having a match between 2 players for the right to be challenger the night before so more exposure happens from it. The other alternative is I could make a selection team of say myself Maynarde and one other (this is just me spit balling) so that this doesn happen and would avoid the same match up week in week out
