I think that, as members of the SC2SEA community they have a right to bring forth a team and fight against the other locations in our community, right? I mean, State of Origin is only QLD/NSW, yet the other states are included.

I think it is a valid discussion point that all areas of SEA should be able to field a team, if they choose to. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I think it further supports our community as a whole, and brings our community closer, rather than singling out certain groups and saying they can't compete.

while it is true, nothing can really compare to the rivalry between states. It is present in almost every single thing regarding the nation, also when I heard about the first soO back in broodwar is was a great idea, so I think it is good to stick back to the roots of the first competition

on a side note.....GO VICTORIA :P
