SEA Participation Bonus

The OSC team are happy to announce the SEA Participation Bonus, a new initiative, exclusive to SEA players. Doesn't matter what league, Bronze - Grand Master, it's all about participation! You don't even have to win. We know who our top players are, we run tournaments to see who is the best on the day/month/year, but what we really want to know is, who is the most dedicated?

For each OSC tournament that you sign up and play in, you will be awarded 5 OSC points. This 'home ground advantage' will help compensate for the international interest some of our events are attracting. (Play in 100 tournaments a year @ 2 per week and that's 500 more points you can earn than were available in 2014. And we will likely be running at least one tournament a day!)

At the end of the yearly OSC season, the 5 highest players by this new participation ranking will be awarded $'s, and first place will have all their lan fees covered by us in 2016!

We shall also introduce a new yearly finals format to reward the highest placing players

Details/Conditions:

- Only traditional SEA countries, no China.
- You must play a full series, signing up and being walked over doesn't count.
- Only you can play on your account, no getting a mate to play for you.
- There will be checks throughout the season to ensure players are playing on their own accounts.
- Players must comply with checks.
- Lan prize is for 2016, and entry only. No flights/accommodation. If you already have a team sponsoring your entry, i don't mind if you double up, and use our contribution for meals.
- In the event of a tie at the seasons end, main OSC rankings will be used, and the higher ranked player will be awarded the prize.
- This initiative will replace the points awarded for the ladder #dedication thread

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series

The Masters Cup is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC). The OSC is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2014 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $29691 combined prizepool, ($ bounties, Terran Bonus initiative, Invitationals, and LAN events were not included in this!), we had 155 completed partnered tournaments (up from 77 last year, which equates to 100% growth), and saw 358 individual players with points earned (up from 138 in 2013 = 159% growth)

OSC Supporter Packages

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards. Subscribers are also another way we can potentially market ourselves to prospective sponsors, which in turn will result in further growth.

We also provided supporters with bonuses such as event replay packs, and chance to win 1 hour of coaching from top tier players.
