Hey guys, FLuX here.

You might be wondering why you've not heard from the team for a little while. Well, we've got a couple of announcements to make, so hold on to your seats!

Additionally, we've all had a bit of a break from StarCraft over the summer! We've all been working hard, so we've not been playing too much on ladder, or even in tournaments! But, we're going to really ramp up our game from now on... Which brings me to my final, big announcement.

CheckMate Gaming how has its own teamhouse! That's right, based in Wellington, New Zealand, we'll be working out of this as our base of operations for the 2014 year! You can expect to see frequent high quality streaming sessions from our players in the future, as well as many more tournament performances in the future.

Crimson

Crimson has been busy over the summer period, working and generally being quiet on the Starcraft front. He’s looking forward to being one of the few people to not only experience a teamhouse environment with one team, but now two. Crimson will be moving in later to FLuX and Phantom, however we’re confident that he’ll catch up and once again continue to prove that he’s a deadly contender, and a powerful dark horse in any tournament he plays.

Phantom (Formerly known as Another)

Phantom has also experienced a teamhouse environment previously, being a former A-teamer on Team Iris. He has recently undergone some drastic changes in-game, switching race from Protoss to Zerg, and has begun to find his footings amongst the Swarm. His team-mates will be there to support him and provide advice as he continues to improve and once again become a contender for one of the best players in the SEA region.

FLuX

FLuX has never experienced the teamhouse environment like the other two Starcraft veterans of the team, however he’s extremely eager and passionate about being part of the environment, both as a manager, and a player. While at the teamhouse, he’ll be looking to exert himself more in his managerial role of Checkmate, while also improving at StarCraft II, and looks to reach his goal of North American Grandmaster by the end of the second quarter of this year.

I’m extremely excited and motivated to not only get a chance to observe high level Starcraft, and be observed as a player, in a teamhouse environment, but also to once again hang out with two close friends of mine. Ben and Jamie have been buddies of mine for so long it’s become hard to imagine my Starcraft life before them, and it seems fitting that we continue to improve together and share ideas about the game together. I’ll also be looking to breathe a bit more life into the StarCraft II scene within New Zealand, more on this as it comes. Things are looking well so far, and there’s only improvement to come. Watch this space!

Phantom (formerly Another) and I are currently AT the teamhouse now, and Crimson will be joining us in 2-3 weeks. We'll be looking to really kick into gear for 2014, and we look forward to your ongoing support!
