The Starlight Foundation is an Australian children’s charity group that aims to help children who are hospitalised or have serious medical needs. Founded in 1988 they have grown into an organisation that offers a variety of support for kids and also their families. Especially important is the Starlight Wishgranting, an amazing service for the kids and families who are undergoing extreme hardship. Offering a break from the pressures and stress from their illness and providing memories for the whole family at the same time is something very special.


EB Games began their partnership with the Starlight Foundation in 2008 and have continued to grow since, last year raising $500,000 during Starlight Week. This year is the Starlight Foundations 25th anniversary and they are aiming to raise $550,000. In order to achieve this goal they need your help! The Starlight Gamethon will run for 25 hours straight starting on Thursday May 2nd at 12pm and finishing on Friday May 3rd at 2pm. There is a broad range of games and sections from pizza eating and cardboard fortress building to SC2 HotS and CoD tournaments and don’t forget the toilet paper cosplay!


The SC2 action will be starting on Thursday with Team Exile5 and PiG, as well as Nv's Rossi showcasing games from 10pm with the possibility of a showmatch or just some general SC2 HotS action on stream. So come join in on the fun and please make a donation if you can. It’s a cause that’s well worth supporting!
