Hey guys, creating a poll to guage interest in what days would be best to run a Platinum/Diamond clan league.

Just to make sure people are aware, the other tournaments currently running on SC2SEA are:
Community Open - Wednesday.
GPD Open - Sunday.
BSG Clan League - Thursday/Friday.

We clearly do not want to clash with the GPD open, so we have 6 days it can run. Please just list the days you would be available so that we can work out whether it's possible to run at a time that doesn't clash for casters with BSG as well...

I say saturday, mainly because with the BSG gone there's nothing on saturday anymore

The fact it's on Saturdays is why I played in so few BSGs back in the day. It's by far the most likely night for peole to go out, so it's almost certainly the hardest for people to make the commitment to play in a lengthy league style tournament.

I agree with Erasmus. I would prefer it to be on a weekday, preferably a Thursday, due to work and schooling commitments on almost every other day. This would give me the opportunity to take part in a seemingly brilliant community event, unless of course i get promoted

i voted thursdays as its presonally best for me and weekends are horrible imo for a league as people want to go out etc

Hmm well then Fridays would be a lot better if that's the case, though some people also hang out during Fridays since it's Friday. It kinda depends on the time we host this, for example going to late on a weekday isn't the best idea.

With no BSG open, the BSG clan league is going to go straight into a second season. PD is more even, and avoids overlap.

my 2 cents: While Friday/Saturday may be okay for people to play (with a team of 8 players, you can even just show up every second week), it's very unfair to anyone trying to admin or play and admin, who would be required to show up both nights for 10+ weeks. Personally, I'm not able to make that commitment (unless I just say, don't see my friends for ~3 months).

If we do run it on friday/saturday or maybe thursday/friday (which seem to be the popular choices, we will at least need a good pool of volunteer admins, so people are not making the commitment to be there every weekend for 2 nights.
