Hello all, I am Kuhn and I am SC2 and eSports fanatic! I am creating a non-profit team, and I am looking to start off in SC2. I will be offering flights(depending how many make it),accommodation, and meals to any of my team members who make it too LAN events that i attend (which will be all of the ACL's). I am in the process of getting a team logo made by a professional and then i will be getting in contact with gamersapparel for the team jersey design. I am also creating a website for the teams line-up, media, info, and more. I am hoping you will join me in this adventure of creating a new SEA team. Good luck mate I'm already part of a clan FaDe where my loyalty will always be, but if this is a team I would be interested in joining, more for being a good practice partner than anything. Won't be able to attend LAN's or anything at least until next year though.

Having a join implies, to me at least, that this is a clan... pls giv clarification ;_;

I think the word 'Team' and 'Clan' has overlaps like a team is a group of motivated people together for a purpose so a 'clan' is also a team in a way because teamwork op and imba but at a more casual level.

But generally a 'Team' in esports contexts suggests that the focus is more of minimally involvements at a semi-pro to pro- level. E.g. joining more tournaments both individual and team leagues etc to compete at minimum semi-pro to pro level.

While clans may also have practice sessions (impromptu or scheduled regular ones) and involvements mainly in clanwars and even some tournaments, it should be even more so for teams.

Another difference is that members in 'Teams' will usually receive some benefits e.g. paying for lan/tournament admission fees is I think the minimum, sometimes sponsored equipment or even travelling/transport to major lan events etc. Not saying it cannot happen in 'clans' but it is much less likely.

e.g. in mGG all some of them have received are the occasional cookie prizes and cupcakes if they come visit me in Singapore or a meal We are currently thinking of a mGG dinner in the very near future [yes if u havent heard about it, check skype like now.... what are u waiting for]

So in a way, 'clans' are more casual and social in nature while 'teams' tend to have a more competitive focus.

I hope this helps clear things up about the idea of 'Teams' and 'Clans' at least from my pov.
That's how I view the difference between 'Clans' and 'Teams'.
