Q&A with x5 Academy Recruit - Namakaye

He's no stranger to the Starcraft 2 in SEA. Nonetheless, we put him through the Q&A ringer. Welcome to the x5 Academy, Namakaye.

Q: So who are you:

Hi, I'm Namakaye, real name Andrew, and I'm 20 years old, living in Brisbane and playing the weakest race Protoss.

Q: What's your background in Starcraft

I've been playing on and off since release, recently taking a few months break but returning at ACL bris and recently laddering again. My first real step into competetive SC2 was in about 2011 when I found sc2sea for the first time and joined the sR clan after getting Top 8 in one of the now forgotten wT Weeklies (dat old school zomg).

Q: What else do you do?

Not a whole lot, mainly just take Elusory's GPDL money and troll people. I also watch a lot of Korean shows, quite enjoy Running Man .

Q: What do you go great?

I always find it hard to say what I do well, hmmm.... I suppose I could just say something like RvR (beat random king schnitzel 3-2, never gonna let you forget that :P).

Q: What's your most memorable moment in SC2

Now THIS is a hard one... I suppose my first ACL in 2013 here in Brisbane, it was my first time being at an event of that scale and seeing these guys like Glade, Light, iaguz, MaFia, tgun etc. etc. playing close up. I'll never forget iaguz v MaFia, so much hype and the room exploding after guz won. That was epic.

Q: What are your goals

Same as everyone else, improve, simple as that really.

Q: Tell us something that no one knows about you

I've gone to Sydney and Adelaide to play Bridge (for those who don't know what that is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_bridge) for Queensland and have played since i was in primary school. It's actually quite a good game but it's often regarded as an "old person game" which is kinda sad really seeing as it's best to start when you're younger.

Q: Is there anything else that you would like to add?

Shoutout to x5 for setting this up, I'm excited to get to know the x5 guys better and rep a team that is so well respected. Also, shoutout to my fellow academy members, gunna be fun working with you guys and i'm excited to see us all go to the top and shoutout to CJ.herO for being the greatest SC2 player ever.
