[Xpndable]

Hi SC2SEA Community Members!

I have been working on a fork of the Windows 7 gadget that is available at Bidouille.org to provide further information available from the Starcraft 2 Ladder pages and I think I've done an OK job.

*EDIT* - Regarding a Korean version of the gadget, I have parsed the RegExp correctly to be language non-specific and am now working on the graphical representation for Bronze-Grandmaster (as they are in korean and my script is not :P)

*MORE UPDATES* - Now works with link copied directly from profile page!





While the original gadget was capable of displaying a ladder position, the badge for your ladder position and league, your division, your name and your Wins/Total Games, the update I have made has the following extra features:

• Race icon
• W/L Percentage
• Previous ladder rank and Movement indicator
• Ladder points and Bonus pool available
• Changing borders similar to in game portrait borders

Note: I did remove the capability of reporting on 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 - I don't use them so when I was creating this for myself I didn't include them.

To use: Just hit the spanner button and put in your profile link and the gadget provides the information back to you.

I have only provided the gadget here to the forums. It is 100% free. It came about because when I got the original gadget, I wanted to have more information available to myself. I have a programming background and decided to add the functionality myself. If you like it, then please feel free to comment below.

I feel that this is not an advertisement, I worked on something that I'm proud of and want to share with the community. I am providing this without any expectation of return or personal gain, I just created something and would like to have people use my creation. If you like this or found it helpful/useful/cool then I'm all the more happy.

If this post has violated any rules, then I apologise and you can feel free to remove it.

I really hope that the community likes my work and would feel honored if people use it.

I think this widget is awesome but unfortunately I can't get it to work with my KR b.net page which is currently my main server. Most likely due to languages.

I have it set up for my NA account now though and it looks sexy.

Can you update this thread if the kr server b.net pages become available to use with this widget?
I would very much like to put that in instead of NA.

All future updates or releases will be added to this thread. To make it a little easier on me, I'll probably release a "Korean language version" because of the difference in the RegExp parsing.

Understanding that this will probably be a highly wanted feature for this site in particular, I'll get to work on this ASAP

Will keep you guys posted with updates.

Download the gadget from the "link to file" in the OP or from here: http://db.tt/Avyp2w3a

Install onto computer. Then follow the "To Use" instructions from the OP:

I'm using Windows7 and whenever i tried to install it says:"Windows Gadgets managed by system administrator" (and yes, i was logging in with admin account).

Have updated OP with Korean Language version - NOTE: It only works with the Korean profile pages, and displays in Korean, the KR page does not have an EN language option. They can both be installed and used at the same time, and allow multiple instances. HAVE FUN!

Have made one further update, Korean version doesn't require you to split the URL's from the SC2Ranks site and the Battle.Net site - works all together! New version linked in OP, remember this is just the Korean version.

I will consider merging them together one day, but for now I'm interested in hearing how people are finding it and any bugs you note, please reply here to this thread. Thank you!

I do love the gadget but I'm not a fan of the win/loss ratio.
To me the win/loss ratio should be x = Win/(Win + Loss) instead of x = Win/Loss because I don't think it's possible to win 118% of your games.

Hmm - I originally tried this, the numbers are a little different. A Win ratio better describes what you're asking about, where Wins are shown as the percentage and losses are the "hidden" number.

Win/Loss is a percentage representation of the ratio ie. 52:57 @ 91% which reads "I have won 91% of the amount of games I have also lost" - not a Win ratio which is 52:109 @ 47% and reads "I have won 47% of my total games played". Based on the fact that MMR and matchmaking system will keep trying to keep the Win/Loss around 100% and the Win percentage around 50% it's really personal preference on how this is presented and read as above.

However, if a Win ratio is more useful/easier to read for the community, I can change
