Was wondering if there are any k-drama fans around in this community...
I LOVE WATCHING KOREAN DRAMAS... and yeah I've watched a few... Also learning Korean too.
Anyways, if you do, we should totally chat it up
I've watched Baker King, Secret Garden, Oh! My Lady, Cinderella's Sister, 49 Days, Take Care of the Young Lady, Man of Honor, etc.
I hope there's some k-drama fans like me around here >.>
Secret Garden. It's gotten awards ever since its release. It was released in 2010, but it has been getting awards till now, 2011, (Which is pretty darn rare) It's REALLY good. Secret Garden is a perfect drama - i think. It has a very good plot, it is about a very rich guy who falls in love with a stuntwoman and then finds the past between themselves and finds out that they are fated to be together. A lot of very interesting twists in this story that let them appreciate each other even thought they are from a completely different background.
I recently just finished watching 49 Days, it has a very cool plot. It is about a girl who lives a life where it is literally perfect. But in fact, she gets into an accident and dies and has to find something in 49 Days so she can live again. She realizes that her past life was all lies as she lives in her 49 Days under the condition of being in another woman's body. Very good movie. Made me cry a few times because of its sadness in her quest of finding that thing (trying not to spoil it) but that is the general idea.
If you are looking for action/adventure movies, I recommend you watch City Hunter. It is definitely one of the most common one amongst all. But I'm not into that type of drama.
But these are just my tastes since I prefer romance/comedy/melodrama over anything else haha.

I really want to get into these! Where do I start?
You can watch them at dramacrazy.net (That is where I watch my dramas, it has a pretty complete collection)
Dream High, arghhh i love it!
I fall for anything musical related so easily :P
The second season is coming out sometime this year, which I'm excited for.
otherwise a bunch of Korean variety shows (Running Man, Heroes, etc.)

haha! I'm thinking of actually start Dream High!!! I was too caught up with everything to start it though, a lot of my friends say its good. But I heard the second season will be an entire new cast of actors, so people say it won't be as good :/
I WISH THEY MADE A SECRET GARDEN SEASON 2 :'( i miss that drama way too much.
Haha Cute, sure whatever haha xD Speaking of KPOP MV's I love Huh Gak's new MV's, they look really good.
my gf watched all of Secret garden in like 5 days and i caught a few episodes
Korean drama isn't for everyone though... they can be super cheesy
or super depressing if you watch older dramas

Hahahah I absolutely agree with you. I usually get really caught up with all the emotions from the drama. Its just me though, I'm easily moved xD Thing is, I've finished watching Secret Garden, but I still think of it cause it was so gooooddddd.... After watching 49 Days it feels a bit depressing, but yeah, if your a person who won't mind getting a mood-change from time to time, GO FOR IT. I really think K-Dramas do the best in really emphasizing their plot into your personal life, I don't know why, but i only get emotional when it comes to K-Dramas!

IRIS and Athena is a must watch if you're into action though if you're a military buff you will pull your hair out at some of the things.
Yea! I've heard about IRIS, actually passed by the filming of IRIS in Seoul when I went a few months ago!!! I'm not sure if its a good one though, I've been hearing lots about it.
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (aka Nine Tailed Fox) is a good one if you're into guy meets girl who happens to be a gumiho and wants to become a human so she makes a deal with guy and guy agrees and both pretend to be a couple but really fall in love etc etc.

I watched Pasta, You're Beautiful and a whole bunch of other sappy dramas that I cannot for the life of myself remember the English names (that and I'm also lazy to get a translate or check wikis) and if you;re in it to kill time or learn Korean, its a Panda Approved way :P

I am really enjoying secret garden, thanks for the recommendation guys. I was watching a bit in my room then chloe came in and saw me watching it and demanded me to put it on the tv oustide to watch together, even tho she saw it like 2 years ago lol. i think the dialogue is hilarious
holy shit at episode 4 now check out this line
A "A womans life is determined by the level of her bag"
B: "How did you know! I just found that out the hard way"
Pretty much sums up korean culture and their obsession with brands & bags any why chloe demands a new branded bag every month. they get fed this from the most popular dramas from the time they start watching telly lol!!
Other thoughts - Hyun Bin (lead male actor) doesn't look as handsome now after his jaw surgery. Last time i saw him was in that my name is kim sam soon drama or something. All the guys in kr do surgery too its crazy i used to think it was just the girls!
Speaking of Secret Garden, my Mom JUST brought home the Secret Garden Special Edition OST, I will be posting some photos of how awesome it looks! It's like a book with numerous pictures of some unforgettable scenes in Secret Garden. Definitely worth the buy. 26 songs inside the box!!!
Also just took a listen to 49 Day's Soundtrack. BRILLIANT. Must listen.

Haha, honestly, I think he is overrated with his looks. Hyun Bin isn't that attractive, it is just because of his Character as Kim Joo Won in Secret Garden which makes people find him really charming and the ideal dream man! If you've seen Hyun Bin with short hair after Secret Garden, you wont' find him that attracting. I think Ha Ji Won is naturally really pretty though. You'll see in one of the scenes in Secret Garden when she dresses up, she looks absolutely drop dead beautiful! Just saying, I love all of the casts in Secret Garden. (Especially Oska)
Im halfway through Hon. I dont know if its a drama dont really want to call it horror since its fairly weak horror as well so dont know where it fits =/
