This is an Idea I have been tossing around the more mature members of FaDe and other guys I want to hug but I thought it would be really fun to do a SC2 event for fun that involved drinking
Pretty simple idea being I would stream/cast games and when there is a supply block people drink. We will start with lower level players so the good players can get sufficiently legless as to not make our throats become dry
Also thinking it might be fun to also have players and others jump in on skype and get trash talking/trolling going to.
All in good fun and the winning being crowned the manliest man that ever manned
Thoughts?
I am a little hesitant as there are many people underage and despite boozing before I could walk I don't condone excessive underage drinking. So to that end I was thinking I would have people register interest so any known kiddies can be at least not permitted to play. Also haven't set a time - I would like a good number of people but to deter the youngens I think having it somewhat late would be prudent.
In my short sc2 life, i have hosted 1 starcraft tournament called the Jaspar Star League. i made it to the finals (not becuase i am a good player, but because the better player was vomiting in the bathroom) The rules are as follows (this was sent to each member invited to play):-
----------------------------------Jasper Star League Rules------------------------------
Early Tradition and FFA match
1. The tournament commences with the traditional prayer to the God of Gaming, Norazi (to be delivered by Rythos), with the celebratory shot of Alcohol*.
2. A Free-for-all (the “JSL FFA”) is played with all players competing, with each player spawning as Random. The last surviving player will win a bonus match win in the Main Tournament.
3. Traditionally, the JSL FFA is played to appease Norazi, and therefore each player should attempt to kill all the other players as soon as possible in the game.
Main Tournament Structure
After the conclusion of the JSL FFA, the structure of the main tournament is as follows:-
1. Tournament is a round-robin, best of three (3) against each opponent;
2. During each round of the round-robin and the finals, each player MUST play as random;
3. At the conclusion of each game (game, not match) during the tournament and finals the Winner of the particular game must have a shot of alcohol. It is considered good sportsmanship for the loser of the game to have a celebratory shot with the winner.
4. Failure of the winner to comply with the preceding rule will result in a forfeiture.
5. The top two players winning the most matches (including the JSL FFA) after the round-robin will proceed to the finals. In the event of players being tied in number of matches won at the conclusion of the the round-robin phase, a back count of the number of losses will occur, with the player who has lost the least games during the tournament obtaining the higher place;
6. In the event that the back count cannot differentiate the players, the two players will play a best of one (1) on Steppes of War, with both players spawning as random;
The maps are selected as follows:-
1. The first game of each map is played on Xel'naga Caverns;
2. The loser of the preceding game selects the map for the next game.
3. The person selecting the map may pick any Blizzard Melee Map.
The practice known as “cheesing” is encouraged in the JSL. Players are encouraged to practice their skill in ending games (very) early to prepare for the JSL.
Finals Structure
1. After the round-robin phase, the top two (2) players will play in a best of five (5) finals;
2. The first game of the finals is to be played on The Shattered Temple, with the loser of the game selecting the map for the next game. Same rules as the round-robin.
Prizes
The JSL has a big league prize pool, with the prize distribution as follows:-
Winner: 2 x J!nx shirts of the winner's choice; and
Runner-up: 1 J!nx t-shirt of their choice.
Alcohol: As the Jasper Star League is a competitive event, only in exceptional circumstances will liquor with under 35% alcohol fulfil a tournament requirement to have a shot. Any requests for exceptions must be put to the tournament directors before the start of the JSL.

I am interested in having another event, this time with more players. anyone in the Brisbane area keen? hell we could do it with skype for the shot proof... but then drinking alone watching/playing sc is pretty sad...
This will be an online event and I will encourage people to get on skype and the whole thing will be enjoyed together via stream/skype
It will be a little hard - at least for me - to have an IRL one what with living in korea and all
I am thinking having the first one tomorrow night - maybe a bit late.
As for other rules I will give players challenges for each match like a funday monday like one match may be only indirect attacks via drops, nydus, cloak harass/burrow, warp prisms etc. Everytime one of those is executed viewers must drink
Keep an eye for my stream tomorrow night around 12pm (sorry I can't be more exact )
Think of this one as a practice one so we can settle on a format etc
