You speak a good point sir, I think i'll leave this one to the other admins to decide (since I can't make the call as its my team involved and you all know my position already lol).
Oh and also, although I've already raised this with the admins I want it officially known here, that the "smurfing" done by Eskimo was something done for portraits (which he was doing long ago as well), not to rank-tank... I mean, if he was genuinely smurfing he wouldn't have then let himself get promoted into Diamond now would he?
I'm not complaining or saying the outcome should change there, I just don't want him getting a bad name for something that wasn't genuine smurfing.
As for Minimat, NFI what he was doing, quite disappointed there actually.

tbh - Eskimo's smurfing isn't an issue in regards to his character or what not - but his skill level is higher than BSG. This was discovered during the TtCC BSG event and he was removed from that tournament in the winners bracket finals. Smurfing can be a sinister act where people enjoy dominating lower league players so they purposely drop rank to do so, the next level down is what Eskimo did, which was to drop league to get easier wins and faster wins - but only losing in games that last 2 seconds. saving time to farm portraits etc.
minimat's smurfing case was even less severe than that, minimat was a plat (or diamond?) Terran, that tanked losses to get to a lower league while he learnt Zerg. However, this is against the rules of BSGCL and minimat had to be taken out of the tournament - however, a less severe penalty was applied to TA because his smurfing wasn't that bad..
Yeah, and i'm sure the rest of TA's BSGCL team are thankful that we didn't get snapped harder for it.
Its been a tough season for us.
Although results-wise we've been better generally, overall we're not doing as well as we should be / could be / would be expected to be by the community.
This will change!
Season 3 will see TA with a new team captain and lineup (as poor Edarus sadly got into Platinum... don't ask me how, I haven't laddered since season 1 and I lost placement and WHAM promotion?? lulwut) and expect us to take the cake for the next season.
I guess that'll be announced soonish anyways

the new rule doesnt seem too bad, but can easily affect the smaller team by heaps. It sounds good in theory but would kill alot of teams
most weeks I've been rotating the silvers and they've been pretty fine, would make it hard for me to final boss though :P lol owells I wont be here next season anyways
Yeah its still something in the development stage, and I believe it will require a tweak or something to make it more feasible for the smaller teams.
Thanks for the input =)

Clanless "UpWaiting" 4 vs QED 0 UpWaiting > Krrn Backwater Gulch UpWaiting > DeNile Antiga Shipyards UpWaiting > QEDJenkins Tal'Darim Altar UpWaiting > QEDFridge Shattered Temple
First All kill for the league so big congrats to UpWaiting - he's come along way since joining and practising with the team!.. I gave him builds and instructions before each game and he carried them out perfectly for some great results - so congrats to him!!

Is 500 your character code ? Because it seems i can't find you on Bnet
ZerO disappoint because he can't play after he sweeps the whole team :O
I agree with ZerO. If this rule is implemented it will make small clans unable to play. Also many people who signed up have never ever showed up, which means that we only have a small group of dedicated, ready-to-play players every week. If certain ones are banned (for example the sweeper or the best one in the team) from playing the following week, isn't it a bit unfair? Basically you are disallowing players to play for a certain week because they have practiced hard, made an effort to commit, and won for the team?
If this rule was to be implemented we would need an option to kick people off our team and be able to replace them with new ones without limit, so any inactive people will be replaced.

Personally I think the core issue is more having an active, reliable roster for a good competition.
I do see and agree with the point that it would disadvantage (almost punish) players who have won because they put a heap of effort into their game... Perhaps something like they must play last the next week, rather than can't play at all?
As fun as all-kills are for your team, it means not everyone gets a go and in itself makes a team (in effect) a one-man venture regardless (again disadvantaging the teams as a whole in that respect.)

I agree with this. It's kind of annoying and doesn't really make sense but not much you can do about it though as it's up to the individual players. If you don't want to play / can't play, don't sign up!

That's actually not a bad idea, will have to keep it in mind when we're all discussing rules for next season

I totally agree with this, if this rule comes in - alot more subs are needed and team managers need to be alot stricter with selecting team members..
Something that is proveing to be very successful with my team is the amount of in-house practice sessions; keeping practise up and members active - we've also started to run mini tournaments amongst the team - with myself and suman squaring off in the final soon!.. This has helped the team improve dramatically and bond together! Additionally we have started to learn each others play style and thus forced us to be very creative when versing each other - which have led to some amazing and interesting matches, games between myself and inco and suman last night were very fun!..
Anyway, these things have helped our team succeed and might work for you too! Gl hf and see you all in the PDCL next season?!!?
