On the side note;

I don't think i should have to do this, but can managers PLEASE take the initiate and give the admin the results of a game after EVERY game as well as the new player, race AND map, without the admin asking, would make it easier on all of us.

Syn is speaking the truth here.

It will be very appreciated if the team manager that won the game post the result of their game in this thread. It requires a bit of effort i agree, but it helps the admin a lot, as it's quite a headache sometimes to get the results.

For example if team A won against team B i would like to see team A manager posting something like that:

Team A 4-0 Team B

Player1 > Player2
Player1 > Player3
Player1 > Player4
Player1 > Player5

So we'll just to copy paste in the OP and it will look great!

just re-raising the issue around 4-0 walk overs... the 4-0 score gives the winning team a significant advantage over other teams in the standings.
My opinion is walkovers should result in 4-2 (for no shows) and for cheating, the losing team should receive a 0-4 loss, but the winning team should get a 4-2 win.. as the 4-0 win unfairly disadvantages other teams in the standings. Thats my opinion.. but I think other opinions should be offered so we can all work out a fair ruling for this.

Hey man, we hadn't forgotten there has been discussion regarding this between the admins.

Basically the decision at the moment is to keep it the same. Walkovers are 4-0 because the other team isn't winning any games. Obviously, there can be mitigating circumstances where a few players arrive but there isn't quite a full team or not enough silvers present in which case single games can be walked over. For example; got no silvers? Give 2 wins to the other team, and start playing your Golds.

Compared to other leagues, the BSGCL is extremely lenient, as it allows a full week to play out a match up. This exists to avoid walkovers completely. The BtD walk over situations for instance were very unfortunate but they have admitted it was a miscommunication within their ranks, and have paid the price by getting 0's. I imagine after that it won't happen again.

We have been discussing another way to distribute points to help with "unfair advantages" from walk overs and such, but if there are indeed going to be any changes they'll happen next season. We're coming up on Week 7 and think the window to implement any more rule changes has pretty much closed. In regards to next season and what you posted about cheaters; those teams caught with smurfs won't just be getting 0 next season, their smurfing players will be removed and they will either be forced to sub or be removed from the league. We're gonna make that crystal clear in the OP for Season 3. Smurfing is completely 100% not tolerated as it compromises the legitimacy of the league.

As mentioned a few times by myself in this thread; this tournament is for the BSG community, it's for the people. If the people aren't happy we of course want to accommodate and keep this league as fair and fun as possible. None of us are doing this for any reason other than our love of the community and SC2. Hope you understand mate.

Good news is; no smurfing or walkovers (except for one individual game) last week! Hopefully this continues. Everyone is entitled to offer suggestions and opinions regarding the current seasons rules in order to make the next one even better, so please feel free to continue doing so. I promise you will be answered
