Seej make a better OP with more details and tell everyone a bit more about yourself. Would hate to see the thread derail into people questioning your credibility so thats a good way to prevent that.

Yeah I'm new to the forum. I mostly keep up to date with Reddit. Honestly I don't know much about the SEA community and from what I understand there isn't much in the way of tournaments or major teams.

About me:
I am 25 and an accountant by trade. I live in a share house in north sydney and I enjoy watching sc2 as a spectator. When I play, I am in bronze league and only really 4v4 for fun.

To be more specific I was thinking aloud about the potential of a gaming house. To me a gaming house is part of a benefit of a team(no rent) and includes structure and a coach. Meals are mostly prepared for players and generally there is a work ethic to play 10 hrs a day. Most of that I can't provide.

As I am not associated with a team I need to work out if it is viable to run a house. I would be taking on the risk of rental risk as players are sure to come and go. I would have to outlay for the infrastructure i.e. fridges, kitchen items, beds, cupboards as it is like a hostel. Oh and I guess ill have to buy a few computers and set up internet.

I see it could be viable if I knew players were paying $150-200 per week (very cheap for sydney city) for a bed, a computer and living in a place to continually play against masters level players. OR if I knew I could get strong sponsor support but that would require some sort of exposure for ROI. Which can be done with live stream and tournaments.

So the question to you. How much would you pay a week to move into a gaming house to train on SC2 full time?

As a sort of side argument.

You could start with just using the space during the day, doesn't need to be a bed there. A good team environment with some decent gear would be a starting point. If it moved further you'd have an investment already in the gear and could move it over to a house.
