I was looking around for this thread to give the game a bit of a bump, but it looks like the thread has been locked. Probably for the best, I derailed it pretty hard. If you'd like to read up about Forsaken World (and how it compares to WoW), definitely check out that thread. I've also copy/pasted my screenshots from that thread into this one, spoilered below.
Here's some screenshots, but honestly they don't do the game justice. They've taken every system in WoW, analysed what makes it good/bad and refined it. For once, someone actually beat Blizzard in topping a genre.
Went fishing through my screenshots and found some more good ones to upload:
Cool hat.
My first death was to this boss! >_<
There's this carnival instance where you don't actually fight any monsters, it's just a series of mini-games and puzzles. This particular one required us to simply stay in the circle as it travelled across a room full of lethal gas.
Another puzzle in the same instance. There are two platforms. Adds will randomly spawn on the platforms. Each add has a weight of "1". Each person in the group weighs a certain amount depending on their race. The NPC will call out a certain number, and we need to stack people on each platform and kill off as many adds as necessary in order to meet the required number. So for example, if there are 5 adds on 1 platform, and 3 on another, and he wants each platform to have a weight value of 8, we could put a Stoneman on platform 1 (weight: 3) and 3 Elves/Kindred/Humans on Platform 2. This would give us a total of 9 on platform 2, so we'd have to kill 1 of the adds. Pretty fun puzzle.
Cool vampire chick~

I watched my friend play it, PvP looks imbalanced and inferior to WoW. Otherwise, a great game, definitely worth a try if you are looking for a decent mmo.
add: Yeah, just youtubed some PvP videos, compared to WoW they seem retarded, almost as bad as LA pvp. So it's not just my friend sucking :P
SkyBreaker Edit: Merged your two posts into one.

It actually looks pretty impressive! Also, very nice write-up Dox, love the layout! Although with that said, I've "done my time" so to speak with MMOs... I had been playing WoW from 2004/2005 up until I bought SCII and decided it was time to move on (and for the better).
I completely agree with SkyBreaker. The game looks pretty amazing and has some cool stuff in it like auto travel to quest locations and ease of use levelling guide interfaces and such. I didn't get into the higher stuff but it looks good and an MMO PvE fan would surely enjoy it.
But, I played this game for about 6-10 hours and just realised that MMOs are dead to me. They really just feel all the same, I'm burnt out from too much WoW. I quit that game after the last expansion (never got to 85) and every other game I've played recently that I have been told is a "WoW Killer" like Rift or Forsaken World just feel exactly the same if not on occasion carbon copying features.
Keep in mind this is all imho. People may enjoy it I may just bit bitter and too into SC2 to really see what makes this one so special :P
