SEA Community Manager

Blizzard is looking for a minister of fun who will keep the SEA Blizzard community engaged and entertained. This person will need to proactively diagnose and distill the sentiment from the sometimes chaotic and disparate voices of the player base and recommend courses of action for both the SEA team and Global to act on. As part of the worldwide Blizzard Community, this person will interact with global community leads and represent the needs and sentiments of SEA players. Expectation is that this person will be able to plan and run all SEA community and tournament activities across all Blizzard franchises.

This individual must be familiar with all Blizzard games, be able to speak and write succinctly and have excellent communication skills appropriate for various audiences from gamers to HQ. Maturity is a must in dealing with a passionate and often demanding customer base. Experience running social media technologies, as well as executing physical events are vital. Knowledge of key influencers in the SEA gaming ecosystem and eSports also a plus.

+ [Responsibilities] +

• Responsible for the development and management of Blizzard community websites and social media sites.
• Help drive retention and engagement plans.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of Blizzard online and offline community events (gatherings, tournaments, events).
• Manage Blizzard’s eSports and tournament commitments across SEA, including direct management of Blizzard run tournaments.
• Manage agencies and vendors as needed.
• Update / provide regular status reports and analysis on internet sites and assets.
• Assist in online marketing research when needed, strategic planning and brainstorming.
• Create and execute on / offline community management strategies.
• Create new ways to be more effective in community outreach including tournaments, viral programs, contests, online chats, etc.
• Research and evolve key community and online marketing tools and vendors to be competitive in the gaming industry and on the web.
• Report relevant feedback on community sentiment to product groups and development studios.
• Work with the development and marketing teams to improve products pre and post launch.
• Work with the marketing team to optimize strategy and coordinate online marketing initiatives with online advertising messages.
• Competitive analysis of the online strategies of other game publishers, and local operators and general on / offline practices.

• A minimum of 5 years’ in gaming, social media, PR, or consumer products industry
• Passion for eSports
• Previous experience moderating public forums
• Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Instagram, and YouTube tools and processes
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and Strong analytical skills
• Proactive, able to work independently as necessary and follow through
• Excellent interpersonal, people, and communication skills with written and spoken fluency in English
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Some travel required
• Must have a passion for video games with that passion being for Blizzard Entertainment’s games being a plus

• Additional languages beyond English, such as Mandarin
• Connected to influencers in the SEA gaming community

Yeah it is, its the same Position PJ (Oceanic Community Manager) has but for SEA (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines), the job is based in Singapore.
