This is the start of hopefully many events to be hosted for the SEA region. The goal of this series is to try and provide a clean, stable environment for competitive play. It's also to promote the regions players and help get their name out there in what is generally considered an exposure-starved region. If you aren't a player, you can also play your part by voting and helping to decide who we get to see. Hopefully everyone can get involved to really push SEA players into a whole new light.
REQUIREMENTS
Grandmaster (Master league may be accepted under certain circumstances).
Be available to play on the specified days. By signing up for your first event, you also must take future events into consideration if you end up as a weekly winner. If you do not show up or show that you are unreliable, you may be deemed ineligible to enter future events.
Players do not need to be from the SEA region, however preference will be given to SEA players as that is the focus of this series.
WHEN WILL IT START
The starting date & time hasn't been announced yet as there is still some fine tuning to do, however it is coming... soon...
THE BASICS & THE FORMAT
Each week players will submit their name to become a challenger. Admins will choose 10 players that will be presented to the community for voting (unfortunately not everyone gets a chance). The top 4 voted players from this pool will then play off in a best-of-3 single elimination bracket. The winner from this bracket will move on to face the reigning champion from the previous week in a final best-of-5. The winner of this match will hold the position until the following week. (Note: there is also consideration of making the champion match a Bo7)
FAILED 10 POOLERS
The 5th & 6th voted player from the pool of 10 will be automatically selected for the following weeks selected 10 pool. This is a show of respect to those that just missed out and obviously have some interest with the community.
FAILED CHALLENGERS
There is currently no rules on reapplying as a challenger. However, as the admin have to select 10 (technically 8) players each week for voting, the previous weeks challengers may have a lower preference over fresh players.
PRIZES
Prizes are still to be decided on. Stay tuned!
BOUNTY
Each week the winner will not only win prize money, but also have a bounty placed on their head. If a challenger takes down the champion, they will not only win the prize money, but also take home the bounty collected on that champion. IE. Player A wins the champion match for 4 weeks, but loses in the 5th week to Player B. Player B wins the prize money and 4 x Bounty amount
FORFEITING
If the current champion can not play the following week for any reason, they will be forfeited from their position. In place, the Bo5 will be moved forward to the finals of the challenger bracket. The bounty will NOT be added to the prize pool, instead moving onto the new champion. The forfeiting champion may apply as normal in future weeks.
TRACKING PLAYER PROGRESS
You'll be able to see who's been scalping who, who's been the champion for 'X' weeks and various other achievements through-out the series. This is not only a tool to gauge ones skill or who has been successful, but also a cool little something to say thank you for participating.
THE POINT OF THIS POST Well, it's an introduction! If you have any comments I would love to hear them - in particular the format and if you would be interested in participating (this isn't a sign-up however!). If you think there is something that could be done better, or if you have suggestions on anything in this post, don't be afraid to voice your opinion. Remember, this series is here to serve the community and it's players.
THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
These are all still preliminary ideas. As things progress and feedback comes in, changes may be made to better suit the core idea of this series.
HELPING OUT
If you are interested in helping out, get in contact with me and let me know what you'd be interested in doing.
DONATIONS
The current prize pool will be coming from a single source, and whilst it would be nice to have an awesome initial prize pool, it's largely unfeasible at this point. Whilst I'll do my best to provide a decent prize pool, I will welcome donations with open arms.
Any donations will go directly to the running costs of this series - prize money and possibly payment for casters. No one else will be making money off this series at this stage.
SPONSORSHIP
If you're interested or someone you who would be interested in sponsoring this series, contact me and we will try to find a suitable arrangement. We will be suitably branding this series including the streaming content, video content and written content. This will also include forum & social media activity.
CONTACT
If you have any questions, suggestions, issues or want to help out you can add me on Skype (preferred), or send me a message on the forum.

From the shadows I come! I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
this is freaking fantastic! Sooo excited for this Would definitely recommend bo7 tho for the challenger match, it allows for more mind games and map-player specific builds and is better in general.
This looks fantastic! Its really nice to see UHF take the initiative to step up and bring it to the next level like this (assuming this was your idea?).
I hope you pick up good sponsors for this, it looks amazing.
