Hey I am a Terran player but I am looking into switching my race to protoss or zerg do you guys think i should just wait till heart of the swarm to start playing zerg? and are there any Protoss player that can share some tips that help with build or can anyone share a build Thanks
I wouldn't hesitate to try out Zerg before moving out to Heart of the Swarm, just to feel like how the race is played out etc.
But as always, once you become comfortable with Wings of Liberty Zerg, you would have to re-learn Heart of the Swarm Zerg. Which in my opinion Zerg is the most drastically changed race in HOTS compared to WOL
Don't worry about "switching races". Just play about with each a little, if you wanna try out a few games with zerg then just play a few games as zerg, or if you wanna play protoss, play a game or two as protoss. You can look up builds on liquipedia for Protoss, I wouldn't recommend using "builds" for zerg, just standard openers (unless you plan to all in each game).
In bronze league it's the perfect time to try out many different races and strategies before choosing one you wish to become good with.
Each race has its benefits and its down sides and I used that information to play the race that I felt I would enjoy the most. Some people play certain races cause they like a certain visual aspect about them e.g. the futuristic advanced Protoss aliens, the overwhelming, slimy and evil Zerg bugs or the mechanised human space adventurers (sort of like the humans in Avatar). Otherwise you might like something from below.
I used to play Undead in WarCraft III and I really liked that the acolytes could just summon a building then go back to whatever it was they were doing. I chose Protoss cause they likewise don't have to worry about the buildings they make. Warp in and forget .
Terran:
Benefits:
Can build buildings anywhere.
Buildings can lift up and change locations.
Supply depots can raise and fall allowing for highly versatile complete walls.
Mules.
Can find out information in any area you like without asking... Scan
Preliminary unit (Marine) is highly versatile.
A variety of play styles.
Repair... structures and mechanical units can be healed thanks to SCV's.
Hot swapping (changing which buildings are an Tech-labs and Reactors thanks to floating buildings).
Not the most expensive units, not the most powerful units (mostly a falsified fact... but to begin with true enough).
Disadvantages:
SCV's must remain at the buildings they are creating until they are finished.
Terran structures burn near death.
Has to save up for scans are the primary method of detection in battles (which is limited based on the amount of energy your CC's have).
All units must be rallied.
Zerg:
Benefits:
Units move faster on creep.
Units and buildings consistently regenerate health.
Creep tumours provide vision.
Can relocate spine crawlers and spore crawlers as needed.
Can recreate an army quickly.
Overlords make excellent early game scouts.
Mind control =D
Relatively inexpensive units.
Disadvantages:
Drones die to make buildings.
Can only create buildings on creep (buildings off of creep die gradually).
Overlords die easily thanks to air units.
Need to remember to use your queens for injects and creep spreading for Zerg to be truly effective.
Constant need to choose between worker and army units.
Protoss:
Benefits:
Fast regenerating shields (outside of combat).
Can warp in gateway units anywhere the energy matrix covers.
Buildings build themselves.
Observers are an invisible scout.
Chronoboost speeds along anything you wish to rush out (workers, tech, units, etc...).
The Mothership.
Disadvantages:
In the dark early in the game (w.r.t. scouting) until Observer.
Units are expensive compared to other races.
You must create buildings in the energy matrix.
If the energy matrix is removed your buildings become unpowered.
Usually rely on a powerful but slow death ball.
Units and structures which take hull damage do not regain life (unless healed by a Medivac or repaired by an SCV... somehow SCV's know how Protoss technology works.)
It is important to note that all races require excellent engagements, good scouting information and proper micro and macro to perform well.
I hope this helps !
P.S. I'm sure there are some other things I'm forgetting but I'm trying to look at this from a very broad perspective.
around BSG from what I've heard terran is the easiest, then comes toss and then zerg, around GPD I feel protoss is the easiest, then zerg, then terran, and around the higher levels of SEA zerg, terran, protoss. This is by no means concrete and it's based off of personal experience. TheGentleman above me pretty much summed it up. Lots of Zerg buddies in SEA so being a minority (like toss) would give you a good edge since SEA zergs can ZvZ and that's about it.
HotS Zerg is still kinda the same except some people just kinda add swarm hosts to WoL compositions, HotS Terran is basically identical and HotS Protoss has a weird-ish opening build that incorporates the Mothership Core but in reality the game doesn't actually change a lot. Also, I feel that the HotS game is more friendly with automine and the number of drones per base but that won't really matter to you until ~Plat at least, so you're basically fine playing WoL.
Protoss vs Terran:
1 gate Fast Expand -
9 Pylon
12 Gateway (13 if you can't constantly make probes and make a gateway)
13 Gas (14 if you need to ^)
16 Pylon
Cyber
Stalker
Expand
Protoss vs Zerg:
I'm not sure if there's a standard as everyone's timings seem to be a little off every game and people seem to have their own variation but in general it's:
@LiveR
In PvZ if you 9 scout and see that the pool is later than around 10 supply, then it's safe to throw the nexus down before forge as long as you block the wall with a probe until you get your zealot out.
In that situation I go:
9 Pylon (scout)
17 Nexus
17 Forge
17 Pylon
18 Gate
18 Cannon
(you can do nexus on 15 if you wish)
If there IS an early pool however, then
9 Pylon
13/14 Forge (get a cannon when it is done)
Nexus
Pylon
Gate
Walling off completely is very helpful, but you will have to bust it down later.
(also, if the pool is done by the time your probe gets there then forge ASAP and pylon and cannon in main can save you)
Note, the above is what I do and may not be absolutely optimal.
If this is all too much for now, then the build Liver suggested is good.

I used to play Terran but I get really sick of TvT, it is too time consuming to me. Hence, I changed to Zerg since I play Zerg in BW...
IMO if you are in bronze, Protoss is a good switch as the mechanics are kind of similiar and easier to handle.
Mirror match ups are always interesting, but some people enjoy the calculated chess game that is TvT. Always play what you enjoy the most... it is after all a game and meant to be enjoyed.

Haha yea... for me i prefer the rock paper scissors mode in ZvZ
