Gonna give this crafting thing a go! Its really fun and the thrill is like playing the lottery cause when you get a good item its kaching!!!!!! Its all i've been doing the past week!

The best craftable belts/bracers/chests in the game, 6 affixes
Recipes range from 10-25 mil in the AH. I have all three.
Most of my items come from haedrig, though you go through bad patches of luck at times, the stuff that is good lasts a very long time. It's also one of the big reasons why I'm so gold poor......worst part was after I finish levelling up smithy and jeweller...all the costs go down
sorry, to be clear i meant it will cost 190k to craft one 6 properties item each. Stats can be really random, but sometimes they turn out great for e.g that soldier's gear belt was sold for 7mil.
Best if you have me craft 10 at one go, you normally get something good. its kinda like lottery and it is exciting to see the items you get and of course sometimes you get nothing sell able too, bear that in mind!
^^4 prop stuff is pretty good too and it costs like 25k to craft. I loved the pre ias nerf era, even half decent gloves with 15% ias sold so easily for a 400% profit, similarly with 12% boot speed.
yea it all depends on your luck actually, i used to craft 5 prop items and did reasonably ok! 4 prop might be a bit tough.
However when I bought the 6 prop recipes i found it more than worth it as the items just have higher chance as theres 6 potential combinations to get BiS gear.
Cynaide can share his crafting story here, hes quite happy crafting 6 Prop shoulders the last i heard!
I actually bought plans for 5 prop belt and shoulders. They have a chance of rolling 6 props though, from my own observation. And the plans cost only 500k, compared to the 12m for 6 prop shoulders =/
Anyway, like nirvana said, 6 prop is better because of the chance to roll 1 more time. However, I feel that the price for the shoulders is not justifiable. 500k vs 12m for the plans.
5 prop items costs only 42k to make vs the 88k on 6 props.
Being the cheap ass I am, I'm perfectly happy crafting 5 prop items because so far my experience is largely good, getting a lot of double resists. But maybe it's just my luck. =P You decide!
Edit: Forgot to add, now that drop rates have greatly improved, don't put all your eggs in 1 basket!! ilvl 62 craftables, no matter what, will never beat ilvl 63 because of item budget allocation. 63 will roll higher numbers. Except for resists which is capped at 80 all resist and 50 for single IIRC.

Just started crafting the bracers (5 prop) and it seems like a gold sink to me atm. I have only just started and sunk around $1Mil gold into it and havent got close to being able to get my money back as of yet.
Will persist for a bit to see if it is just my bad luck but with my rolls, the best I could do is around $200k for one of the items, the rest for under $100k. And that isnt undervaluing them either.
spent about 50m on crafting/mats so far (excluding recipes). im up about 30m (profit) from selling stuff in the AH
i think it has at least about +20% EV in the long run for 6 props but you really have to craft a lot of stuff before it normalizes cause the variance is high. the ah is still very mispriced!
in my case i started with 5 props and got really lucky at the start, selling some stuff for 15m in my first session and thats what made me think crafting was a possible venture in the first place. Then sadly i got nothing good over the next 10m or so. i find the positive expectation in the long run + the "lottery thrill" makes crafting an extremely enjoyable and profitable thing to do
i also blew 20mil trying to craft 1 handed 6 prop swords. level is capped at L62 so in that case its just not worth it and its a huge gold sink. salvaged every single sword
