Hey everyone. Haven't posted on sc2sea in months now, haven't even played sc2 in a few months now. Been on holidays, been playing a few other games (dat dota2), and just generally with work and study I didn't have time for it. It had started to feel like work trying to keep up with the builds and keep up with my mechanics, it just felt like I was putting effort into it but not getting anything out of it. But watching the ACL announcements tonight made me remember the fun I had going to LANs and even just competing in small online tournaments. Just playing pugs on BF3 and dota are fun, but I really miss those organised events where even if you get knocked out you can still hang around and watch players compete for something other than ladder points.
Just writing this I've pretty much talked myself into playing again. So, where to start?
play some team games to warm up abit or relax a while. If you're not into team games, play some 1v1 on ladder or watch stream to get yourself back into the game. It will take a while to adjust back to the good ol'
days again.. so don't give up!
Start by hitting that "Find a game" button mate. I took a measly 2 weeks off from my normal amount of playing and its amazing how quickly everything slips. Lost 6 games straight...:\ oh the rage. I even paused/exited game without gg'ing after the last one...(ruhroh bm im going to hell). It's kind of motivating in a way though. Same feeling as when you take time off from the gym or have an off season from a sport. The hard part is the beginning.
