There seems to be too much BM and angst, anger etc. flying around nowadays, so I thought I'll blog on something happy. Friends. Such as friends I've met in 2012 on SCII. Or perhaps I've known them from earlier in 2011, but regardless I'll try list all the people who I call a friend...to a varying degree. Needless to say each and everyone of you have made an impact with me, where I am more than happy to call you friends, even if we don't speak much, or I don't have you on real-id/skype/whatever. Again like my other blog I recently posted (on my SCII career), with it coming to an end in several weeks time, I want to sit here and reflect on the friendships I've made with this great game Starcraft II.
I may forget a few guys, so sorry about that!
Okay fine, I'll admit it. I'm reminiscing again xD. But I have a right to, since I'm retiring very soon =[.
From FaDe:
Rezyn: Not enough can be said about Rezyn. He works tirelessly to organise Barcraft events in Melbourne, sponsors tournaments and local events, and even has time on the side to fix FaDe admin problems with our website. One of the first friends I made on Starcraft 2 that I didn't know from real life dating back to our BSGCL days. You're a champ mate. Congratz btw on you know what =].
Halstrom and EXCL: I decided to loop these two together simply because you two seem to fall under the same categories, comrades also from BSGCL. Both of you have gone AWOL, but I still hold both of you in high regard and have enjoyed the times we spent together.
Rawfish: Fishy, bane of my TvZ existance. Always seem to crush me TvZ. If you actually continued to play, you would seriously be one of the best Zergs on SEA, but your a lazy asshole and hate practice. But I still love you and enjoy the time we chilled at KR BBQ.
Byrnsy: You've gone AWOL too mate. Only thing bigger than yourself is your personality. You're an absolute champ who works hard for ESL to make events happen. You can also drink a truckload and eat a truckload too. I remember you almost killing yourself in the city trying to parkour over a bin, and I remember you picking up a random guy in the city without even trying when he came onto you randomly while we were singing 'Amazing Horse' or something.
Deadpixel: No one likes you, nor do we like your crazy pictures that make me think the cops are gonna storm my house cos of the links you send us are borderline illegal. You cry IMBA way too much, and sometimes you talk way too much also, but you're a good mate. I was happy that I was able to teach you some stuff about Terran, and hope you work hard to achieve Grandmaster.
Lemon: You're crazy. That is all.
Kreamy: We don't have the best friendship at times. We clash a lot, and the BM between us can fly like pies at a food fight. But I still love you baby . You're unhealthy fascination with Suzy is borderline insane, but no one can doubt that you're a solid Terran player, although with intense rage episodes also. I always viewed you as a rival, someone I wanted to always be in front of if possible. I won't ever admit that you've surpassed me in terms of skill though, that would be too much for my ego to handle.
Cookie: I want to eat you nomnomnom
Sora: You go AWOL like crazy, but I've enjoyed the time we chilled together bro. GL with uni!
GOFIRE: You're in NS T_T. You taught me so much when I was a little Terran nublet, and now your younger brother FlashVeno is like super gosu. But it's okay, I can still take games off Veno from time to time. Talk moar on skype you lazy bum!
Venosaur: If I could sum you up in a word, it would be lulwutsrsly. The things you say in skype sometimes are downright stupid, and half of the time I feel you're trolling, and then you actually aren't and you really are that stupid. One thing you do have though is a crazy good work ethic. Now you made it on Flash, so go win tournaments and I'll cheer you on!
Manly: We don't talk much. But I respect you. And I've always been scared to play you. I think you're more gosu than Veno though, since I'm only 1:5 against you xD.
Termy: Lots of potential little one. Practice hard!
Cure:Thanks for working so hard for training me up (my TvP engagements come to mind), and although I never met your expectations of gosu-ness I learnt a hell of a lot from you. If you actually stuck to one race, you would go so far. But you're happy being a coach and drinking craploads. I remember 5:0'ing you one night TvZ, and then you proceeded to stomp me the next time we practiced. The amount of builds you know is mind blowing. Btw, I still think Bomber > Lord Taeja
Red: You want to be no.1 Terran in FaDe? Get to my skill level first son. Work hard towards your goal and you'll do well. Fix up that decision making of yours also, it's downright terrible (trolllololool). All the best with pX!
Wash/Shampoo: One of the better Zergs in SEA, probably underrated as hell since no one knows who you are. You're a bit of a dick now since your ego has inflated and you call everyone bad and enjoy insulting others, but you're still an awesome dude who I enjoy playing since you're really good. I also enjoy our in-jokes about the Protoss gun in CS and how in a TvZ, Protoss somehow wins.
Petrify: Your most famous accomplishment is 2-0'ing Rossi and getting deep in tournaments. Mine is getting to RO32 of Masters Cup via walkover or probably managing to take a game off you. When you were at your peak before you left on holiday, you were ridiculously good. In our BO5 I was happy to take that 1 game off you. I still remember that picture you put for TF, I enjoy that joke I made that you combed ur arm hair in that pic. You and Wash have a crazy rivalry on who was no.1 Zerg in FaDe. I'll enjoy seeing who finally establishes themselves as that. Like Wash you can have some ego problems, but at least you see the other point of view. Btw I'll be honest, your ZvP is pathetically bad.
Meatex: Your a cool dude. Not a lot of people may see you in a good light, and you make some downright dumbass decisions, but you're a cool dude. Cheers for all you do for FaDe and let's rip up some Hawken/NS2 some time brah!
Daedalus: Josh Josh. I enjoyed bming the crap out of you, then taking games off you easily. I still joke about your herp derp to this day, but you're srsly an awesome dude who is chill as hell.
Plottel: Come back to SC2 pl0x =[
Scope: At your peak you were scarycrazy good. But then you quit and played DotA2. We never talk dick. But we had good chats and I hate your friggin blink-stalker all-ins!
Alan: DotA2/2v2 GOGOGO
HB: . That's all that needs to be said Mr. Grubby Lookalike! Come visit Perth again some time!
SyN: My GW2 Guardian Bash Brother. You're awesome also =D. Let's play GW2 some time haha. Stop playing so much DotA2 and practice SC2 -.-"
BattleWagon: We don't talk much bro, but you're a chill dude and I like you =].
Banana: You're really wierd... xD
SehrStark: You dont play anymore, but I still remember the rivalry we had and the first time I finally managed to take a game off you when we were both in Diamond. Fun times ^^
Pressure: Legend! The advice you've given me on gym is heavenly haha. Thanks for replying to my spam of questions about lifting brah. Still hate myself for almost losing to that Nydus in our BO5 xD.
mGG:
To those in mGG, you keep me company when there's no one online in FaDe (which happens so much nowadays >.<)
Nemesis: NEMESIS TO ALL-KILL! Always fun playing with you Nem, you and your stupid DTs LOL. I'm very happy you managed to find the clan to suit you after taking so long to search. I remember pestering you about a Clan since after finding FaDe it was so fun to play SCII and i wanted you to get that feeling also. I'm glad you found the environment to suit you, and although we're on rivalling clans, I kinda feel like an unofficial mGG member myself considering how much I hang out with you guys haha. I'm still expecting Diamond by the time I retire! I always try to cheer you on and you better work hard to improve. Keep going lah!
Alpha: I have a very healthy respect for you, and I see you as sort of a rival. We always seem to go 1:1 =P. We don't talk too much, we're not on each other's friends list, nor have we exchanged skype details or anything. But the games we play when we meet in clan wars or on ladder are nothing short of challenging and fun as hell. I'm glad to see mGG doing so well, keep up the hard work and let's meet on the battlefield (clan war) one last time before I retire.
South: You're playing chess now like a proper nerd, but like Alpha I also see you as a sort of a rival. I hope we also get to meet one last time on the battlefield, and I'm certainly very happy to have beat you to GrandMaster xD.
Ben: Nothing needs to be said Ben, nothing at all. I'm sure you know it already brother .
Saiyan: You live in some backwater country town near me, and you yell way too much when you die to me in photon cycles. And I've famously lost to you as a Diamond Zerg when you were Gold. Stupid DTs. But you're an awesome guy, and work towards your goals!
Glazed: Although you have never taken a game off me (What is it, 0:10 or something) , you seem to be improving in ZvT. We'll continue to practice and chill bro, you're a cool dude. By the time I retire I'll hope to have trained you enough so your ZvT isn't so trash hahaha.
Cookie: Please give me your cookies. Thx.
Chase: We talk...very rarely, but you always seem to be like a jellyfish, bopping around. You're really wierd, and some of the crap you do in games is downright stupid, yet it works. Not sure if stupid or really good =P.
Others:
Stallion: We dont talk much. But when we did play you were an absolute champ, such a mannered guy. Although I'm friggin 0:5 against you, let's play so I can finally beat you before I retire. I also notice you play lots of LoL. Don't fall to the dark side, it's not worth it.
NeoZack: First dude I ever coached. You have a lot of potential, and I was happy to hear my BSG coaching got you from Gold to Diamond. Work hard little man!
ZeroAbsolute: One of the guys who taught me plenty about myself, on how to conduct myself and when to be serious and not. I was a bit of a dick during those BSGCL days, and although you're probably long gone, respect yo!
Chadmann: Our rivalry will always be there, no matter if you don't play and your in wood league and I'm GM on KR or whatever. Enjoy managing fray and I'll cheer for you guys. I'll never forget the epic game we had in BSGCL finals. Never.
Bjorn: You kinda joined TA without telling me . You never talk to me either . But I enjoyed the times we did have bro.
KWC: Dunno if your in mGG so I'll put you here. You're roommate is too damn loud. Tell him to shut up. Thx in advance ^^
Chaynes: We were close bro. Unfortunately you had a falling out with FaDe and you've disappeared. We dont really bother to talk now, but I've enjoyed our long discussions until 3 am and I really count you as a good friend. If you're still alive, hit me up some time with a skype message brah.
Eddie/DevianT: More an acquaintance than a friend really. Always manner when we meet on ladder. You do a great job for the sc2 scene. I'm also happy to know that I've never lost to you. Only disappointing thing is that you never really got involved in FaDe, I felt you could of been a huge asset to us.
Clare: Rival!!! Haha I remember losing to you on ladder as a Diamond Terran, you were random but pulled Zerg which you were GM level at. Stupid nooblet. You're really bad at this game since I beat you last time we played. We don't talk much if at all, hope you're doing well ^^
Thinking back on this, I'm a bit sad at how few friends I have outside FaDe, although I'm glad I managed to branch out and meet some mGG people. Needless to say, I'm always up to make new friends and acquaintances, so feel free to hit me in-game and we can have a chat =D. And although this chapter in my life is slowly closing, how awesome is it to know I've made some awesome friends during my SCII days. Who says games are anti-social xD!
To those who have found out they are acquaintances/friends, feel free to PM me for my skype details =D

Gonna miss you man! Come back and say hi some time, and as per your wishes ill be gettin back on SC2 pretty soon Good luck with whatever you decide to do
Rico, you are going to be missed from the SC2 scene, and I will personally miss out chats on the game and to push Terran to the top of the heap. I know you will do mGG proud in SEACL and I hope I can emulate you in my achievements as well.
