With TCL entering the last few weeks of group play, its time for a quick update for those of you curious about how the tournament is going for our SEA teams.

Group A Standings:
1st. xGKing - 83 points - Played 6/8
2nd. StorM - 64 points - Played 5/8
3rd. Dhc - 61 points - Played 6/8
4th. Japan - 34 points - Played 5/8
5th. Nw - 24 points - Played 6/8

Xeria are currently sitting in 1st place, but StorM has an extra game where they can pick up some points to secure that top spot. Xeria play StorM and Dhc in the final 2 weeks and a victory over either team will secure a spot in the Semis. if Xeria lose both remaining games it is still possible to advance, but it will be close between Xeria and Dhc, and will depend on how many points Xeria and Dhc can secure. Storm has 3 remaining games, vs Xeria, Nw and Japan and barring upsets are looking decent to secure another spot in the semis. Keep in mind with this format, seeding does not matter as the semis is Group A 1st vs Group A 2nd. Nw and Japan are almost unable to make the semis at this point.

Group B Standings:
1st. Alive - 109 points - Played 7/8
2nd. BlitZ - 75 points - Played 6/8
3rd. Infi - 68 points - Played 6/8
4th. Rush - 65 points - Played 7/8
5th. Legacy - 8 points - Played 8/8

Alive are basically demolishing this group and have secured one of the spots in the semis. The other spot is up for grabs, with BlitZ and Infi in solid positions to take it, and Rush with an outside Chance. Infis 2 remaining games are against Rush and BlitZ, whilst BlitZ has Infi and Alive to play. For Infi to advance, they will have to secure a good amount of points from their game vs Rush and a win over BlitZ. The second spot in the group will most likely be decided on Jan 19th, when Infi play Blitz, although if that series is close it will come down to who scores the most points in their other games. Rush can still advance if they secure a large win over Infi, if Alive destroys BlitZ and if Infi and Blitz have a close series, an outside chance, but who knows!
