Stitch here.
I'm sure some of the older members of this community would know who I am and what I did before. If you don't... almost 2-3 years ago, I first started commentating on SC2SEA... I never really got anywhere near professional shoutcasting because of not having the internet at home to stream, being a student at a pretty academically competitive school, and also being in a city that hasn't put much emphasis on SC2. I decided to end my commentating 'career', if I may, when I took my first overseas trip as the guest commentator for TGX 2012 Singapore.
About just half a year ago, I took on a new role with eSports. I signed up to be a manager of an organization named Seraphic Nexus as some of you may or may not have seen around here. My job in the organization was to lead the project SNX.TV at the start. It was to develop a media branch that would be able to provide media coverage for different games on a global basis. However, due to various reasons, the plan did not end up working well, and we had to put all of that development on hold. At the same time, it was my senior year at my high school and preparing for college was much more important.
Just over a few weeks ago, I finished all my college apps and kicked myself back to SC2SEA and TeamLiquid... For me, eSports has never been something I knew I could commit my life to (Chinese Parents), however I've always had a longing to contribute the most I can and experience the most I can in this wonderfully interesting perspective of humanity. Knowing that the plans for Snx.TV have been put on hold, I decided it was time to move on to somewhere I can contribute. I know that for some reason, SNX's reputation on this site is not perfect. I was never quite the guy that followed all the drama - but whatever it is, I hope to inform everyone that during the time I was in it, I was able to learn a lot from the leader himself, Braxius, and also managers like DoMo. I really value my time there, and I am leaving on a positive note that what I have learned about management and stream development will benefit the next project I already have in front of me right now.
I have been offered to lead a project that will not be in SEA/Oceanic region anymore. The project is quite similar to what I was planning to do with SNX, but on an even larger scale. SC2SEA has always been a home and family that I grew up in. People come and go to take on bigger roles either in eSports or life - and I hope that once I settle into this new team, I can share more about this new experience and contribute again on this server!
Nice, nice, keep us all informed. Also, maybe I'm just bad at paying attention, but I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to SNX rep... (If there was something that I missed, please people don't take this as an opportunity to bring it back up - I'm just saying it wasn't THAT big, not that I want to know what it was).
