This blog is a shoutout to CM Storm for their Quick Fire Pro keyboard with Brown Switches!
I only switched to the Quick Fire Pro with Brown Switches a month before going to DreamHack. I was hesitant initially as I didn't want to screw up my practice schedule by having to get used to a new keyboard. However within a few games I already forgot I was using a new keyboard and my play felt faster and smoother on the feather-light keys. This was one of the rare cases of a new piece of gear immediately becoming an invisible connection between my own mind and the game. It's so well designed it just feels natural to play on.
At DreamHack I felt like I was playing stronger than I ever have before. I can't think of a single moment where I missed a hotkey or struggled with my controls and whilst the lower latency was a big part of that, I think the Quickfire Pro added to this experience.
As someone who has used many high-end mechanical keyboards to compete all around the world, I highly recommend this one!
I'm strongly thinking of switching over to a mechanical keyboard... I'm using a Logitech G15 at the moment, did you find the initial switch from non-mech to mech awkward for a while, and how to brown switches compare in terms of weight to a non-mech keyboard?
Also, on a side note, how was playing with super low latency?
if you use a mechanical keyboard for a day you will never want to use a membrane again
this x1000... within a few weeks of buying my first mech keyboard, i bought my second to use at work cause i hated membrane keyboards so much after finally trying a mechanical one....
I still swap between my blackwidow (cherry blues) and my current CM Storm (cherry reds) just because they both feel so good, but yea problem with blues is the loudness.
using the same exact keyboard and switches too. affordable, durable and very comfortable to play on. anyone who wants a mechanical keyboard should definitely consider this

I first swapped so long ago I can't really remember! I just remember it was awesome haha! The low latency was great I felt I could handle messy situations so much easier. It was like taking training weights off and feeling faster and stronger! Definitely a good feeling, and I finally feel I'm fast enough and calm enough to take advantage of it.
