Although I try to practice SC2 as much as possible, I was feeling pretty nostalgic the past 2-3 weeks. As a result I cranked open a couple of old games to re-live my childhood. Plus, it's a great stress reliever when you really feel like QQing about the state of Terran and how good protoss/zerg are, and u can cool off and keep a positive mindset.

AOE2. Nothing can be said except wow after playing SC2, I'm so much better that this game rofl (more than 1 barracks pls). Absolutely love AOE2, although it doesn't hold the same appeal as it once did, still fun to play once in a while.

Z. Not well known, basically was a risk styled RTS with robots, it was so awesome. Learnt to micro tanks like a boss in Z since they took forever to make. AI wasn't that good, but they always had some stupidly good advantage that made it tough.

Freespace 2. Has there been a better fighter pilot deep space sim? Probably not. Being immersed in a world full of huge colossal capital ships such as the GTVA Colossus and joining the alien brothers the Vasudans in combat. Very fun game, such a shame the series died. Speaking of which, I've always wanted to play a simulator type capital ship. Just to have all dat firepower...needless to say Freespace 2 is absolutely frickin awesome and was fun to play through the campaign again. If there is a fighter pilot sim that comes even close to Freespace 2, please tell me!

Heroes 3. Got a friend who I played co-op with, arguably the best HOMM3 (although HOMM2 comes very very close in my books). Endless classic.

SWKOTOR: The original 2000~ game. With an awesome cast including a blood thirty robots and multiple meatbags...I mean other cast, this made Star Wars games cool. Probably the finest SW game, although I'm unhappy with how the canon story ended overall.

Warcraft 2. So good. The theme song still gives me nerd chills. So farkin good. Art and unit design also was awesome. I remember when young spamming the Church to hear 'Deo Gratias'
