So i've been busy working on something...

Who wants to guess what it could be! I'll add some clues each day.

Alright let me take a crack at this

If we look closely at Eddie's photo, there are a series of hidden images that we can see. (Pay attention, they are very well hidden) I will attempt to show them in these following zoomed in images.

If you look closely in the top left corner, you may be able to see a graphical depiction of the world (or Earth). Eddie has in the past liked to use this as a representation for OSC tournaments, and the impact they have had in unifying the starcraft globe. I think this is a critical piece of the puzzle, but still, only the beginning.

The depiction of the world is mirrored by the opposing corner, the bottom right, where it appears a cartoon character is depicted; giving a thumbs up. I'm still not sure who this is meant to represent or if they are someone we should know. However, if we interpret this image at face value, I believe this cartoon is to suggest that this announcement will be something positive. In combination with the graphical representation world, I suggest that this announcement will have globally positive impact.

Moving on, you'll notice here that an area of Artanis is covered by Coming Soon and StarCraft II signage. I believe that if we combine all our information so far, it suggests that this new change will be coming soon to have a very positive effect on StarCraft II around the world.

Now, if you compare the original with the following photo you'll notice something very subtle,

Well, it is clear that the area which is covered by the StarCraft II logo is where a typical human nose would exist. In the above image, you'll notice that Artanis, does not have a nose.

This. Is. Huge.


I propose that in a soon to be announced update, in a series of single player missions, the protoss will discover plastic surgery and thanks to this, all protoss will receive a nose through surgery. I believe that this is a very viable path for the lore to take and that this would indeed be a hugely positive change for StarCraft II world wide.

As a fellow UQ Engineering student I feel perfectly entitled to completely steal Ryan's format. So here are my thoughts on the new clues Eddie posted.

As you all know sc2 is actually pretty dead, so this leads me to believe this announcement is in fact not sc2 related at all.

"But Azure senpai what could it be related to if not sc2?"

Well there are a few clues that point to the answer.

Sources tell me that this is something called the Justice League. Now I don't know much about comics cus I'm not some weird ass nerd but what I do know is that these people are called heroes.
So we have heroes (champions you might call them) ... In a league... I think you see where this is going

Ok so I think it has to be "SEA Online, Home of the OSC League" and, as Demi suggested, Eddie will be hosting a new website as a platform for a new organisation, that will host the OSC and potentially a new OSC Team League. The organisation will be partnered with psistorm gaming and potentially TakeTV (although I feel that this is less likely), and the league will be split into 3 equal seasons with a grand finals at the end (WCS much?).

Here's a breakdown of the images (from left to right, top to bottom) in relation to the above:

The map of the world: The OSC and league is open to all players, and will be a global event.
League Photos: There will be a league...
Justice League: It's a league guys.
Triangle: Representation for three seasons.
Globe + Mice: Online event...SEA Online...
Purple thing with Cat Hat: No ******* idea
Dolla Sign Increase: It's an org and binnis makes money
Horoscope: 12 month cycle, as OSC (and league) is known for
News: Indicates an org to me, something to do with the content they will produce.
Success: Again, organisation
HSC Logo: An example of an organisation hosting a competition, possibly something to do with a teamhouse, possibly partnership with TakeTV
Man with trophy: Championship...
OSC Logo: straightforward
Keyboard with Dolla sign: Online competition with lotsa money
Psistorm gaming: Possibly something to do with teamhouse being used for offline finals/offline events, or other partnership deal
Greendale: Not too sure on this one. Greendale in Vic seems way to remote to have significance, unless it is where the organisation is registered/where Eddie calls home but im doubtful. Might have something to do with California teamhouse, might subtly be insinuating a new community (as demi posited).
Gyroscope: Not sure but maybe an indication at the manpower/employees behind the new org

With the last few clues, people were starting to catch on that it was a website, but no one guessed the name correctly.

SC2 ONLINE

I will explain all the clues soon.

I will make a detailed announcement explaining everything at 12pm AEDT tomorrow, when the site will go live. It will be a soft launch, before our big expansion in the new year. I'll be available for a AMA for a couple of hours tomorrow after the thread is posted.

I had hoped to make an announcement video, but some big and unexpected work stuff come up today, so it will only be presented in text as a result.

As part of this new website, we will be launching a weekly community open tournament. More details about the site, the tournament, features, new bonuses and prizes to be revealed at 12pm AEDT tomorrow.

1. Clue here is Online.
Picture 1 is a common representation of internet connecting countries.
Picture 2 is the globe connected to mice - online
Picture 3 is News connected to a mouse - online

2. Clue here is League. > OSC League
Picture 1, Professional American Sports Leagues
Picture 2, Justice League

3. Clue here is Home - New home site
Picture 1, the Purple Alien is from a DreamWorks Animation movie titled home
Picture 2, was a big red herring, Home Story Cup. - People focused on the event, organiser or brand, not the wording.
Picture 3, the keyboard has 2 home keys. (Another interpretation is OSC Pays you to play!!)

4. Clue here is OSC
This really confused a lot of people. What do they all have in common, look at the words, not image!
All have OSC in the spelling

5. Clue here is Community
OSC is a community focused organisation. Online communities/forums, ties back into new home site theme.

6. $'s + success.
Clue here is growth, as a couple of people touched on, as an organisation, we aim to grow, and expand, the next step is to have our own site, to improve features and events for our players and fans.

7. Another red herring.
PSISTORM GAMING is an OSC Sponsor. Again Clue is OSC, not focus on the team itself.

8. Tournaments/Championship.
What does OSC do best? We run a lot of tournaments and a massive championship. Tournaments = OSC.

9. Pretty straight forward clues.

Love the look and feel of the UI. However, from what I've seen I feel that the actual design and planning of the website is more catered for those of a more competitive disposition. True the original purpose is to promote and highlight the features of the OSC tournaments etc, but I can't imagine the website, realistically, replacing Sc2sea.

Can't exactly put my finger on it necessarily, but for players on a casual basis, whom may be seeking more of the community based environment, may be less inclined as to using the services of Sc2online - OSC related news aside.
