Saulo Silva fine photography is the major sponsor for ESCL Season 1, Were very happy to be working alongside them and we would love if you could show the same support for them as they do for us. So please check out their website http://saulosilvaphoto.com The website has some awesome photographs that are definitely worth having a look at as well as some brilliant content from Dreamhack events.
Eastern Starcraft League is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC)! The OSC is the Oceanic, South East Asian and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments. (Only around the top 10-25% gain points from each tournament). The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $4000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion!
So ready for this. My body is ready for some awesomeness. also hope to see some of the Japanese players take part. I really do enjoy all these new tournaments from China and our own backyard, with this kind of continuing support for our players I can see us really becoming a strong region to contend with.

I have had a few players from Australia and New Zealand sign up for the SEA/Japan qualifier, just to clear this up. Australian and New Zealand players are to sign up and compete in the Oceanic qualifier only. Thanks.
Hey tRoy, If you need another stream, let me know SEAcraftTV would love to help out in some way if possible. Also I can't stream myself (due to internet, #BlameAbbott) but happy to be an extra caster if you need.

Due to a lack of sign ups in both the Taiwan and China qualifiers we have decided to merge both qualifiers into a single qualifier on the 18th awarding 8 tournament seeds. That frees up one extra seed which is given to the SEA/Japan qualifier, which now awards 6 tournament seeds.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Sign up for the China & Taiwan qualifier Here

Im very happy to announce our major sponsor for season 1, Saulo Silva fine photography is jumping onboard and increasing the total prize pool to $400. To thank them for their support id appreciate if you checked out their website http://saulosilvaphoto.com Some great photographs which are printed and sold are on this site along with some really awesome behind the scenes at Dreamhack events with photos and videos.
Id also like to thank MrMarathonMan for his support by adding $20 into first place prize!
Id appreciate it if you could now support him on his stream http://www.twitch.tv/MrMarathonMan
MrMarathonMan streams himself playing casual games often, with the idea of every stream going for 12 hours minimum!
Saw the "CL" at the end and thought Clan League. Honestly was slightly disappointed upon seeing this is an individual league... Slightly off topic but can someone set up a good old clan league please?
Due to some scheduling errors we do have a few changes over the next two days;
T1Wec - RivaL Sunday to Saturday
Hurricane - Crimson Sunday to Saturday
Probe - Frustration Saturday to Sunday
eMotion - Shana Saturday to Sunday
For those who care about SEABets, the following bets had to be cancelled due to my poor skill of closing the bets in time. They are:
Fenner vs Dark
Hurricane vs Crimson
RivaL vs T1Wec
Fenner vs Dark was totally my fault, but for the other two I failed to realise that their dates were changed. So from now on, SEABets will be closed some time before the matches will be played, with no notice given. It should usually be 12AM of the day matches are gonna be played, or even earlier than that to prevent something similar from happening.
Anyway, this is just a casual thingy so I guess most of you guys don't really care. I do care because I'm currently ranked #1 >;D (probably the only ladder I'm gonna have Rank 1 in)
Hello everyone, sorry about my recent inactivity, due to personal life struggles I've been without access to any proper technology for a week and a half now. Only had gamecube which unfortunately i can't post information from
I will be doing the scheduling for the quarter finals over this weekend and planning on having the round of 8 played over next week!
Probably not, sorry no one told you about troy but he has a track record of not ever going through with anything he promises. but everyone on this site seems to circlejerk him and so nothing he does wrong is actually wrong.
Sorry guys, but we are going to have to close this down. We've been trying to work it out with the event organiser, but after months of delays, where we've had a lack of regular communication with Troy, and have waiting for some sort of an official comment from him here, it has come to this, which is disappointing.
Unfortunately he had some personal stuff going on which limited the time he could put into this, that combined with the difficulties of the format, having players show up across multiple days/weeks really put the brakes on things after a solid start.
From sc2sea public chat:

It would be a shame for Troy's efforts to end here, as he is a decent match day admin, and has done some great work helping out with Lans in the past.
Hopefully he returns Saulo's sponsorship money asap (which i'm sure he'll do), if he hasn't already.
We also find ourselves in a tricky situation, where in order for players to earn OSC points from this tournament, there must be some sort of prizepool. It would be nice if Troy stepped up and paid something to those who finished in top 8, especially considering their efforts playing through this format, and delays.
However going by above quotes this might be unlikely. So what i am going to do is give each top 8 player $10 and 25 OSC points each , giving the tournament a $80 prizepool. However, i won't be chasing up the players to give out the $'s. I'm hoping they 'donate it back', as it's A) Not my event, and B) I'm trying to do them a favour by working out a way to get some OSC points after their efforts to play and the delays. However if they really do want the $10, i will oblige.
It is a real shame the ESCL ended this way, but OSC will have some exciting news coming to you within the next month of 2 new, bigger and better Group stages > Top 8 GSL style competitions. Look out for that!
