Hey guys, I used to play way back when WOL came out and have been watching sc2 ever since!

Recently i've tried to return to playing again but the lag is disgusting! Im talking about a half second delay on every single action.

I understand that the servers are overseas and we have to deal with natural latency issues but I never remembered it being this bad! The fact that WoW was more responsive back in TBC is ridiculous!

Any tips or suggestions to optimize? I'd really like to being playing regularly again but this isnt even fun.

I'm with iinet if that makes a difference.

What server are you on?

I've tried them all, all of them bad, SEA is the best.

I've tried using lowerping trial, as I remember that used to help immensely with WoW

yeah the lag is a joke, the only server with good ping is sea, which no one plays on

if its really bad contact iinet and see if something is up with international routing or if something wrong on your end

So in the few years I haven't played the ping has gotten worse? =\

This is terrible news. I have no idea how players like Pig even think about competing with this kind of latency =\ That's like trying to play quake with ms over 100.

It's always been this bad, 170 is really good

anything 200 and under is playable, also if you are getting .5 sec delay you probably camera staring a bit too much, players like PiG are very quick with what they do, so its more then likely less noticeable. also if you come from a game with close to no delay at all and go back to a game with higher ping you just notice it more, i guarantee you arent getting as much delay as u think

The ping hasn't got worse, it was never better than 170. You might have another issue, it could be video lag, either card/driver/monitor
