Online, over two big days of competition, we will find the best three (3) players to represent our region at WCS America in Season 1. Those deserving of such a title will feed into the Challenger League qualifiers for WCS America where they will need to win just a single best of 5 series to slot straight into Premier League. On top of this there is also $2,500 worth of cash prizes on offer!

So start warming up those hands and pay close attention to the following information to find out how you can have your shot at the World Championship Series. Each of the online qualifier rounds will also be broadcast via TwitchTV.

The competing Players in the Round of 16 receive a share in the $2,500 prize pool as follows:

1st place - $600
2nd place - $400
3rd place - $350
4th place - $300
5th/6th place - $250
7th/8th place - $175

As addressed by DoMo you must be a current M/GM on SEA or NA. Regions outside of this are not considered.

1st 360 SCS points
2nd 250 SCS points
3rd 200 SCS points
4th 150 SCS points
5/6th 100 SCS points each
7/8th 50 SCS points each
9-12th 15 SCS points each
13-16th 12.5 SCS points each

17-20th (9-12th Day 1) 10 SCS points each
21-24th (13-16th Day 1) 7.5 SCS points each
25-32nd (17-24th Day 1) 5 SCS points each
33-40th (25-32nd Day 1) 2.5 SCS points each

Bonus SCS points can be earned if:

Anyone ranked below 16th last season beats someone in Top 16: 5 SCS points

Anyone ranked 16th - 9th last season beats anyone in Top 8: 2.5 SCS points

Guys if you've signed up you need to do your PLACEMENT MATCH for THIS SEASON!! Currently a lot of ineligible people because they haven't got their Masters placement and this is necessary, spread the word!

Yup. I've been told this is the case with the current rules on NA / SEA. More official stuff comin from Blizz ANZ / ACL shortly keep an eye on this thread + the social network feeds.

EDIT: They MIGHT extend the screening time to tourney day. Not official yet though.

Too hard to get Masters again with the decay, a lotta people won't even try because they're overwhelmed with sadness at being diamond again, and with how long it will take to get the promo.

Consider this an official statement from ACL/Blizzard:

The pre-requisites of this Tournament are to remain the same as stipulated in the rules of the website from the beginning.

"Proof of League: Must currently be placed in Master or Grand Master on either the South East Asia or North America server. Any other server region will not be considered. Blizzard discretion is final."

We cannot offer exemptions for anybody under any circumstance who do not meet all of the requirements as stated on the website.

We can however extend the screening to 8AM AEDT Saturday 11th January meaning you have this amount of time left to attempt to regain your Masters promotion.

So I think I signed up with my SEA account, which was masters, but I'm also masters NA (and still am) but it's not tied to the account. Is there any way to add that account back onto my registration?

If you can prove to Baldie it's your account then you can sign up with that one instead and you're in! Just apply again through the website but with the Masters NA account.
