Please read the rules if this is your first time entering

Tournament Eligibility:

• You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
• Players who were previously Platinum or last season are not allowed to participate.
• Winners of back to back BSG Opens are respectfully asked to not participate.
• Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.
• Anyone found to be smurfing will be added to the BSG Hall of Shame so everyone can be aware of their shameful acts.

Battle.net group: "sc2seaBSG"

Rules

• You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
• You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
• You must play your main 1v1 ladder race throughout tournament.
• Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
• Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
• Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
• Disconnects: If a player disconnects, use the 'Resume from Replay' feature to continue the game. If the player has gone offline completely, inform an admin and wait 10 minutes for them to return.
• Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
• Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
• Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
• Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and added to the Hall of Shame.
• RANDOM players are not allowed to race pick unless an Admin has been informed a WEEK before for SELECTED matchups.
  
  EXAMPLE 1 - Player A vs Player B - Player A did not inform an Admin and race picks. DISQUALIFIED
  EXAMPLE 2 - Player A vs Player B - Player A informed an Admin and race picks. PLAY ON
  
  If you ladder a specific race but because of Unranked 1v1s and Ranked/Unranked Teams you are now placed as RANDOM, inform an Admin at once. Having you sc2sea account filled with the correct information will make this process easier..

With a new season, it means we have had to take a step back and reflect what had happened. In a bid to curb players who join but are considered inactive by whatever standards everyone has decided to setup themselves, we are introducing a minimum games played requirement to join the BSGs now.

This week's requirement is TWENTY (20) games.

We understand that this may seem archaic and draconian but we think it is the best way of ensuring players are active on SEA at the least to continue playing in the tournament.

Of course, we understand that not everyone can fulfill this requirement and therefore would like to say that you can PM any one of us to appeal. Members who are BSG and in good standing and/or have a strong presence in the BSG and sc2sea community are welcomed to participate as always without a penalty.

This season, no ex-Platinums or Diamonds from Season 5 are allowed to participate in the BSGs. Former Platinum and Diamond players from Season 4 are welcomed to participate so as long as they are BSG and able to meet the minimum game requirement.

Round of 16 bo1 on Alterzim Stronghold TE
Quarter Finals bo3 on Star Station TE
Semi Finals bo3 on Star Station TE
Finals bo5/3 on Frost LE

For finals rounds that are best of 3 or 5, loser of previous game may pick any map from the following list. Maps may be repeated as many times as players wish.

I'm just going to assume this

well Exan, according to your quote here you were plat last season, so whether or not you have the required game count on any server, I don't believe you're eligible to play at the moment.

that quote doesn't say anything about last season, i was plat when hots came out which was a while ago.

can someone give me an answer on if the games actually have to be on SEA? thanks

20 games , but i guess if you've done 20 on NA server it should be fine ?

Any chance I can still play even if I haven't played 20 games? My PC got fixed Thursday after not having it for a week and I didn't get a chance to play till yesterday. I'll be grinding till the starting time though,

I have never had to wait 5 mins for a game.... never laddered on any server other then SEA its not that bad

might be different mmr but SEA has way less people, sometimes takes 5 mins, sometimes u get the same guy 3 games in a row.

when we say active, we mean on the server. Yea sure its a pretty dead server and piss poor to play in but we want active SEA not "Herp derp, I play 10 games yah brah and then I go do the other bazillion on NA cause I yolo420proswag like that".

We implemented a minimum game req cause people have been bitching about "Not active enough", "Too few games" or "This guy has too few games cause he want to stay in BSG". We hope that by having this requirement it will reduce complaints, deter smurfs and hopefully boost you confidence cause you're playing games.

Yes, there will be a decrease in player base cause most BSG players are considered "Casual" and forcing them to play games will deter them. But if they truly are dedicated, they can put in the few hours. I managed 20 games (some ranked, some unranked - so technically I'm still not legible but you get the gist) in the opening week of the new season.

If you don't like it, you can PM an admin and appeal OR you can suck it up, play the games OR you can just not play anymore. SIMPLE.

EDIT: And I don't know how you have a 5 minute wait time or keep running into the same person. I wait max 1:30 and get a different person everyime.
