Since most of us are playing the beta, I'd just like to get peoples' opinions of what their favourite hero is, and why.

For those who haven't played the beta, you might have watched enough streams and done enough research to fully understand all 9 of them, so what do you guys think?

Is anyone in particular standing out as especially strong?

Artosis plays Shaman. Rob Simpson plays Rogue. Reckful plays Warlock.

Way too early to tell. But i think warlocks have the most potential with their draw

Since I play a Priest in WoW I have a bit of crush on Priest, but I think Warlock is defs the best... le sigh

Warlocks ability is easily the strongest one, but I'm not sure what to make of his cards. No unconditional removal spell, trash aoe spell and creatures with some shitty drawbacks. Still, that easy card advantage is nice though.

I'm enjoying Warlock right now, after playing hunter/shaman. There is a lot more to think about imo since you almost always go down to low hp...

Like Guz said there are a lot of trash spells, but having a hand full of 10 cards is real nice and gives you a lot of options to think about

haven't had the chance to try it out. but from what i've seen so far (which isn't a lot) I'll go with fenner and am inclined to say card advantage is the way to go atm.

Although as a general rule in Magic, removal > everything else.

removal is not > everything else imo. Removal is a ton stronger in magic since in that game you cannot force creature fights. Creatures in this game are like removal spells in their own right. In this game removal tends to either be useful unconditional for problem creatures (polymorph, assassinate etc) or about card advantage (aoe spells). But for the most part it's about tempo advantages, clearing out a problem Taunt or other creature so you can press forward a board advantage.

When I first looked through all the hero spells, Warlock stood out to be the best by FAR. Yea extra draw for 2 life is a small proce to pay and when you have 10 mana pool at the end its incredibly powerful.

I think many of the heroes suck and I will only consider using a few. They have different decks right? So that will be another important consideration. But if people can pick decks freely I don't see why anyone would not choose Warlock as their hero and get the life regen mobs etc

Mage seems to have alot of board-clearing spells, so they seem really strong.
Havent seen many warlock decks but card-draws are usually amazing.

Okay after spending a good chunk of the weekend hitting the arena with a few classes, I hit these results:

Rogue: 4-3
Priest: 0-3
Shaman: 1-3
Warlock: 8-3
Hunter: 2-3

Definitely a big fan of the Warlock!

best hero on ranked ladder; I would say Rogue. Spell rogues are insane, likewise VC rogues are get free wins if they draw vc in the first 2 turns.

Arena, easily warlock.

Rogue. fast starts, cheap as free nukes backed up with solid card draw. And weapons!
