AsiaSoft has come forward to support the Starcraft 2 scene, and are working with SC2SEA to promote some awesome eSports events.

We may have been slightly disappointed to find out South-East Asia no longer has its own WCS this year. Lucky for us, the kind folks at Blizzard & AsiaSoft have put together a small series of tournaments just the SEA region in the form of the Vengeance Cup. This should provide the chance of good competition along with decent prize pools!

For now, these countries will be Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with each of them having their own prize pools and national champions. The Singapore Vengeance Cup alone already has a cash prize pool of over $5,000!. The prizes are sponsored by Blizzard and AsiaSoft, while SC2SEA.com will be the official tournament organizer for all the qualifiers (except for the NUS qualifier). There is also a separate $1,000+ Star Jeweled tournament going on as the side event, so get your girlfriends down and score some sweet loot!

Q: Can players who already qualified play again in the other qualifiers?
A: No. Except for the NUS qualifier, as it has a $600 prize pool.

Q: How many qualifiers can I sign up for?
A: As many as you like, just make sure you can attend the qualifiers. If you happen to win an earlier qualifier and thus become ineligible to participate, you will be removed from the later ones.

Q: I paid $10 for the Qualifier #1 registration, why does it say its free?
A: We have just decided registration should be free. So don't worry for those who have paid for qualifier #1, we will be in touch with you soon to refund payment. Also note the NUS qualifier will cost $15 as it is self funded.

Yes, there is no registration fee, sign up is free. Except for the NUS qualifier which is $15 as it is a self funded tournament.

You will need to reply to a confirmation email from me 1 week before the tournament so just sign up and look out for that.

No, this tournament is only open to Singaporean citizens and PRs. So aussies cannot play in the qualifiers either.

It all depends if the Australian distributor wants to put a series of tournaments together. Unfortunately this seems unlikely atm

This tournament was an initiative by Blizzard/Asiasoft who work closely together. Asiasoft is the distributor of Blizzard games in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand hence the Vengeance Cup will be in these 3 countries.

Its nice to see a good mix of players from silver to GM! Note there will be a final confirmation email that will be sent one week before tournament and you need to reply that to confirm your place, in case your schedule changes etc. Because we don't want any no shows.

I think the management admin sent a email to everyone who registered regarding the change in dates and the OP dates of the nus thread (http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php...ighlight=cyber) was edited a month ago. Do check that thread as i'll be editing the thread as according to any emails sent to the players by them. Do send them an email if theres any enquries! I think they would be finalising the information on the 8th june during the side event

blackwaltz3: Yes that is fine, as long as you are from Singapore.
Lobo: Map pool will be based on the new ladder season maps. Remember everyone has at least 2 vetoes.

Info about Seeding:

The players will go into a group stage based on their placements. i,.e It will be impossible for two 1st seeds to be in the same group. Each group will look like this and go through randomnisation so you have no idea who you will be playing until the day itself.

Group Stage:

• 3rd Seed
• Open Bracket Qualifier

Then it will go into the 5 match GSL style, 1st seed vs open bracket qualifier and 2nd seed vs third seed. So getting a good seeding is very important.
