Considering it's a relatively big city I do not see why there hasn't been one in 2012.
I am trying to organize one and have a plan!

Hello -

My name is Jun and I have hosted two successful Starcraft II tournaments at Internet City, Brisbane (facebook.com/InternetCT)

After running two events, I am trying to organize a Brisbane Barcraft. Hopefully the venue will be in CBD and I will be talking to multiple bars that I think are suitable in the next weeks.

I am planning to run it on 9th March, Saturday for GSL Season 1 Finals. However, if things do not work as I hoped I will be aiming for the next major event.

Click on "attending" if you would love to enjoy a good night of watching e-Sports in a pub/bar.

The number of people on this post will help me to convince good bars to host it!

A : Have you heard of e-Sports? It's a sport industry! And we compete with video games! There are many tournaments around the world with millions dollars of prize pool! There are PROFESSIONAL video game players who play the game to grab that cash!

Barcraft is a combination of two words, Bar + Starcraft. We watch the major tournament while we get shitfaced! Sounds funny? Yea, come and join for LOLs!

Here is a video so you can guess the atmosphere! It's HOTTER than Rugby, football and cricket. (less girls, more boys for these events- so girls come along)
