The following event is for mGG members only.

Some background :
Some catfights amongst the different races in the mGG skype chats (one example posted below)...

So we have decided to have some fun, competitive RACE WARS!!

The games happening on :
29 Dec (Sat) 1pm SGT 3pm Qld 4pm Sydney PvZ and TvZ
30 Dec (Sun) 1pm SGT 3pm Qld 4pm Sydney PvT

The following players have been chosen to be race heroes :
ZERG : Chase
TERRAN : Titan
PROTOSS : Probe

The rules are simple :
1. The heroes have to make sure they have minimum 8 players, split into 2 teams of 4 for each matchup.
2. Each team must have a minimum of 2 players from group BSG, PD and M/GM

The teams for each matchup will have a showdown bo7 match.

If any race team is unable to have 8 players, players may be repeated. Otherwise, preferably each sub-team should be unique. Leaders should ensure at least 1 standby for each matchup.

Random players may choose which camp to be part of but may not after confirmation, change their race and team.

You may promote yourself or indicate an interest to your respective race hero or in the thread before or your hero might approach you. Either way, all heroes should submit their team player names for the matchups by
21 Dec (Friday) .

Starting map :
(Each leader will veto one map just before the event and the remaining of these 3 maps will be the starting map)

PvZ : GSL Metropolis
ZvT : Narae_Fruitland

PvT : ESV Frigid pass



For the remaining games the complete map pool will be :
GSL Terminus SE (official) v1.1
GSL Metropolis
ESV Frigid Pass
Narae_Fruitland
WCS Ohana
WCS Daybreak
WCS Cloud Kingdom
WCS Entombed Valley

Each map can only be used once for that particular matchup.

If there is a real problem securing a BSG player for your team, you may approach a plat player to take the space.
Random players can also be an invaluable addition to your cause

Chase has attempted to persuade ben to join the side of the zerg despite being terran.
Muex has yet to join the zergs or the terrans (*hint!!!*)

Reminder for players who have yet to make contact with the heroes but who wants to play to do so by this coming week.

Line up submission by 21 Dec .
Heroes pls post line up for each matchup in this thread when ready. So a minimum of 4 players per matchup (preferably unique unless u are unable to find sufficient players).
Standbys can be listed separately (optional). Players in one matchup can always double up as standbys for the other.

I'm considering a slightly different map pool. So if there are any suggestions for maps outside of the wcs/ladder map pool, please pm me or suggest in here for consideration

I didn't want to use the standard wcs maps + gsl metropolis map pool so here we go :

Starting map :

It should come down to who has the most efficient armies. Therefore, the race with the shortest wins in a mirror should win.

Conclusion :

Even though the games were close and we saw many strong plays from many of our SGPD players and glazed and chase with their awesome PvZ and ZvT games, wins overall after having the more convincing win score in the PvT games.

Having said that, I feel that everyone are winners and there were many good games. The VODs are available on the caster's twitch accounts mentioned above.

At the end of the last game as part of our celebrations towards mGG's 1st anniversary, a stream chat contest happened. The prize being a HoTS beta key to the first person who enters the chat channel '19 Jan' who doesn't have HoTS beta.

Both Probe and Glazed were the first to enter the channel but the true winner was Paranormal as both Probe and Glazed already possess the beta keys.

Coincidentally, it's also Paranormal's birthday. So it comes doubly sweet for him. Happy sweet 16!

I want to thank Colin, Blackhawk and Alpha for the castings and everyone who watched and supported in one way or another and all the players and standys. I also want to thank the 3 heroes for their dedication to ensure the games do happen I hope everyone had a good time.

Anyways thank you very much Nemesis for organizing (or were you the one who just created the thread? ), and everyone else who did help organize.

Terrans.. we beat ZERG!! We fought back Kerrigan (or some shit, idk how u spell her name), but Toss is still out there with their perma cloack weather changing, Eye shooting laser units that need to be taken down.

Big Thank you to everyone that wished me Happy b'day and that supported the race wars by watching the stream and cheering on the players that were going up to the plate. This definitely was fun.

Colin (The man with all the K PoP), Alpha (The man with all the wise words) and Blackhawk (the 'boring zerg player and awesome caster / streamer :P) thanks a lot for streaming, the game were made even more enjoyable by hearing your sexy voices.
