What just happened to this thread... im sure there were more posts and they just disapeared?
Got it... was reading and after going to page 2 (well was page 2) it all just disapeared. I see his post now... i didnt think posts got deleted in this community anymore. rofl..... continue.
Zealo, I was hoping to use this as a way of also introducing myself to the community. Being from an FPS background, knowledge of the inner workings of the SC2 scene is something I don't have (hence my inability to approach players individually).

I'd just like to apologise for any detriment my tweet may have caused the community, it was not my intention to cause any issues with the SC2 community. A rather silly tweet made in the heat of the moment and I'm sorry for its negative impact.

OP is great. Trust is not - Why is everyone jumping in to make life hard for this guy? He wants to invest in your scene. Let him. There are numerous teams that don't have any of this support - but everyone believes them to be legit parts of our community... Even if Drop Bears can't deliver on the promises, which I believe they can - they are still promoting out scene.
Have spoken to him about my suggestions for this team - gl to everyone that applies!!

It's cool man, good luck with recruiting. Props for soldiering on. Did you pay for Toxy to travel? Any pics of your guys in uniform?
Yep, Toxy will be flown to AvT LAN in January to start 2013 off with a bang (just sorting out the last details with Sami Shanley from AvT regarding entry fees and prize money).
Currently we haven't got jerseys. I was contacted by the CEO of www.gamingjerseys.com via LinkedIn who has expressed interest in supplying the team with jerseys.
EDIT: We have a design penned and ready to go =D

Ahk, so those results are from before they joined? Would love to see the design if you don't want to leave us hanging until they're made/hanging on some sick gamers.
Yeah Although Humpty will begin playing in the weekly ESL events before the Major LANs next year and Toxy is doing alot of Shadowloo stuff down in Melbourne in preparation for next year.
I'd love to show you the designs, except I can't seem to add images to my post through imgur
Lets not derail the thread guys, take it to PMs. you guys are mods so you can view each others responses still.
This thread is about Drop Bears Gaming new team which seems to provide good opportunities for some members of the community. I know many players are looking to join a team and further their game. Having it become a 3 page drama fest (and the direction it was heading) was not going to do potential players or the team any favours.
So lets be positive and give that team and the players the chance. If you insist, you can make a separate thread about that accusation, move the deleted posts there and the issue can be properly addressed by whoever is interested. But keep this thread for their new announcement clean and lets all help facilitate growth, thanks!
Very interesting team name. Well besides that its great to see new teams getting involved and international flights + salary is very attractive! Good luck

Respectfully, I disagree, If a team has a history then the general public should be made aware of such history in a very public way as so the players may make an informed decision as to whether they want to apply to said team.
Awesome opportunity, GL to you guys finding some hopefully quality players!

If still unsure of the validity of this team. This tweet from fighting game player Toxy. Suggests that they have the funding to send him to New Zealand for a tournament.
Would like to see another heavy-weight team that have the funding to send players abroad! It's cool to see so many new teams pop up, but funding is still an immense issue. Hopefully Drop-Bears can do this for a few players that really deserve the chance to come to MLG and IEM's with the rest of us.
In light of everything I personally see no drama in asking questions and making sure everything is laid on the table so people can make educated decisions.
Ask questions your heart away, as you would if you were buying a $500,000 house. You want to make sure it is what you you expect and it is an appropriate fit. Any concerns would need to be addressed before making a decision.
The passive and sometimes upfront hostility behind some posts would really be the only concern I would have. Keep it clean and concise and you're on a road to an equally clean and concise response!
Take it to PMs if you have a personal concern with somebody which doesn't further the conversation, public knowledge is valuable in this thread though
@Chadmann, Toxy's flights/accomm were paid for last night courtesy of our sponsors... I'm at a loss as to how else I can prove the teams validity if paying for international flights/accomm isn't enough to convince people that I'm the real deal!
Light, yes, the organisation as a whole. I've received such an amazing response from players and applications have flooded my inbox.
As with all things regarding the international scene, initially it will be performance based (hence Toxy's trip, he's been at the top for so long and after his results this week I couldn't deny him an opportunity to take part in an international event).
I've taken a lot of advice from Chadmann and I think his knowledge of the scene will allow The Drop Bears to make the best decisions with regard to who we pick up.
We are understanding of the fact that in the early stages of growth within the team that our results in the SC2 scene may not be stellar but we are committed to nurturing the talent on our roster to give them the best chance of succeeding both here and internationally.
@Asrathiel, I know, I was simply adding to what he said by stating I'm at a loss as to what else I have to do to prove that the organisation is genuine.
