Riding high on the overwhelming success of WCS Europe, the DreamHack crew quickly moved over to Valencia, Spain, to organise the DreamHack EIZO Open: Valencia which completed overnight. Liquid`TaeJa secured first place in the tournament and took home around US$10,400 in prize money after coming back from 0-2 down to defeat Mill.ForGG with a score of 3-2. TaeJa advanced from the first group stage, placing second in his group with a score of 2-1, and cruised through the second group stage 3-0 to advance to the round of 16. TaeJa then comfortably defeated AcerBly, QuanticSaSe, and MF.TargA all with scores of 2-0 to advance to the finals.
Australia’s adopted Norwegian powerhouse MF.TargA advanced from the first group stage comfortably with a score of 3-0, and also made it out of the second group stage with a score of 2-1. He then defeated LucifroN and Liquid`HerO both 2-1 before falling to the eventual winner TaejA 0-2.
Recent WCS Europe winner and fan favourite EGStephanoRC advanced from his first group 2-1 and his second group 3-0, before finally suffering the EG Curse and getting eliminated in the round of 8 by Mill.ForGG .
The next stop on the DreamHack tour is Bucharest, before the culmination of the tour with DreamHack Winter, in Sweden in late November.
