Tournament Eligibility:
You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.
Anyone found to be smurfing will be added to the BSG Hall of Shame so everyone can be aware of their shameful acts.

Rules
You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
You must play your main ladder race throughout tournament.
The only race switch allowed is to and you may not switch again.
Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
Disconnects: If a player disconnects, the game must be replayed. If a player disconnects for a second time, his opponent will be awarded a free-win. A win may also be awarded if the player that disconnected was significantly behind at the time of disconnection. Contact an admin if you would like your game/replay reviewed.
Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and added to the Hall of Shame.
Format 1. Round of 64 bo1 on ESV Tanzanite 2. Round of 32 bo1 on ESV Bloody Ridge AE 3. Round of 16 bo1 on ESV Gauntlet AE 4. Quarter Finals bo3 on ESV Discord 5. Semi Finals bo3 on ESV Muspelheim 6. Grand Final bo5 on ESV Ohana
For finals rounds that are best of 3 or 5, loser of previous game may pick any map from the following ESV map pool listing

As you can see we're testing out ESV maps this week. Get some practice in on them and see which ones you like. There is space to switch some for others since we're not using the whole pool so feedback is welcome

I was practicing on the some of the esv maps and I found that ESV Avalon always has a neutral nexus at the top left position, pushing your base out. I screen capped to show what I mean.

I'm not sure if there are any problems with the other maps, I've only played a few. I'm in the process of checking out the others.

Just to put some peoples' minds at ease... Duckville isn't just claiming "hey, my offrace is gold standard". He actually has a legitimate second account that he can demonstrate he actively ladders with and is in gold. Suipr's judgments are never made in haste!

Exactly, it's not my intent to smurf or anything like that; if I was of higher skill with T, obviously my account would be at a higher rank, and you wouldn't see me compete. Last week Haz decided not to play against me because "no point playing against a Diamond" but I'm not diamond with Terran... I'm diamond with Protoss and trust me it doesn't translate well, at least for me :P
And as Breadfan has pointed out, I'm not pretending that I'm "only gold level" just for kicks - I'm actively playing my T account these days (people have been complaining on my stream that I'm only playing T these days) and rarely go on my P account because... I'm considering switching with HOTS

The creep is not imba at all, it's there to make sure P isn't ridiculous on that map: if the creep wasn't there how on earth would you stop a 4gate with a pylon up on the ridge?

I was wondering whether we could like use half of the esv(or just 2-3 of them) and half the ladder pool maps so that players who are unfamiliar with the ESV maps won't be as intimidated with the 100% change in map pool? Not everyone might have enuf time to practice on the new maps.
Just a thought.

Just spoke to one of the ESV gents prodiG - apparently some servers have been having issues with the ESV maps working properly with the stupid Arcade - he said to double check all the maps on the server are the correct ones and are fully functional; and if need be we can contact them if we need some help with the maps. When I get home tonight I'll run through them all and make sure it's all good, in case anyone else isn't able to in time.

This is not a flaw, it's designed so that Zerg can take the third as needed (Zerg's know how important this is...!)
The reason it's there in the first place is to stop 4gate, if you could put a pylon up there at the third and warp into the main... impossible to stop.
Then that is a flaw in the map. You can't fix one race's advantage by giving an advantage to another race. How can you play a really greedy fast three-CC on this map (hypothetically speaking, not saying I would, but I wouldn't be able to if I wanted to)? Playing against a Zerg, how can I block / delay their third hatch? You can't is the short answer. It's not a fair map. It is a straight up, uncontested fast third for Zerg that costs the price of one hatchery. P&T have to spend minerals in order to get access to their third.
A more elegant way to fix the pylon abuse would to put in some dead-space around the main-third border. Water, trees, (non-destructible) rocks, debris... Basically stop the warp-in on the low ground. To a lesser extent, it will also narrow down the Reaper entrance points.

I'm not really going to argue too much because I've spoken directly to the designer (because initially I thought it was an issue too) and he told me it wasn't - through testing and other means they decided it should be as it is.
It's hardly an "advantage" for zerg to be able to get the third - if a zerg takes a third super fast, they are open to early 1 base pressure, or even 2. If you're a terran and you want a "greedy" third, how about taking the islands that *no* race can get to APART from Terran until t2 tech is out? Your whole point of 'if I can't delay the zerg third' isn't really that logic, if you'd play zerg you'd know you really need to be a base ahead of p or t to be able to compete at all with those races, purely because of the high efficiency of their units compared to zerg.
As for making it a purely blocked off third - how is Tal'Darim going these days? Still gets bitched at by EVERYONE especially Zerg because keeping the zerg from taking a third efficiently really degrades their ability to stay in the game. Any other maps that have a fully blocked off third? Nope. The ONLY map left in the ladder pool that has a rock-blocked third is Tal'Darim, and you can bet your bottom dollar that map is out next week when ladder resets.
Also I forgot: It's not just about 3rd bases: good luck EVER getting a pvp that isn't 4gate if P can warp in from that high ground - and while your idea about adding dead zone has merit; you need to remember this is a remake of an old BW map, as part of the BW remake pack that ESV released (like a few of these ones) - and I'm not sure there is space to add any dead zone unfortunately
