Tt's Talk Corner with iMSystem - GoSu.tgun as Second Guest!
Inspired by JP's Real Talk, I have recruited the help of iMsystem to re-create this for our community in South East Asia.
The Tt eSPORTS Talk Corner (Tt's Talk Corner) will be looking deeper into the thoughts, feelings and lives of our professional and top level South East Asian players, managers and tournament organisers. We will be asking in-depth and thought provoking questions which will provoke top quality and intriguing answers for all of those watching.
The second installment of Tt's Talk Corner will involve Bradley "GoSu.tgun" Seymour, a full-time professional Starcraft II Zerg Player from Sydney, Australia.
To help keep the community more involved and active in these episodes, I would like you all to think of some questions.
In total there will be 8 questions asked of each of these players, we are in need of two community driven questions. What would you like to hear from this player?
Please bear in mind that we are trying to steer away from the standard "when will you be code S", "how many games can you win against MVP" and other general questions. Try and think of things that will provoke heart felt and interesting answers.
Please leave your questions in a post below and we will take them all into consideration.
Immunity doesn't own System, he can do other things too. I'm giving free exposure by publishing his twitter and all that because it's not a huge deal.
I let people shout out to conflicting sponsors on shows I run, I might work for a peripheral company but I'm not an eSports nazi, I understand that it's perfectly fine for people to shout out to their sponsors in an interview.
(The person being interviewed is from a Razer team)
Well iM need to revise their contract so they own him! I have a guy in china who tells me people don't cost all that much hihihi.
I don't care just thought it was funny. And obviously you can't hold it against anyone if the guy who they are interviewing is on a different sponsors team.
If money and the concern about paying bills/food/work/uni were out of the picture - what would you do for practice / how would you go about becoming world #1 etc? i.e. some people might just say korea practicing 14 hours a day, others might say travelling etc...
Having already been to korea, Do you plan to go back any time soon. Also what do you think about other players going to korea if they had the chance. Do you like Kim Chi? Whats your fave Korean food. Why are you running? Are you ashamed of your photo.
And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out, what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs,
WHAT'S GOIN' ON?

What is it like being in a foreign team? (non-domestic team). What are the pro's and Cons of being in a non-domestic team? Have you considered joining a domestic team?
What motivates you to strive to better yourself as a pro gamer?
What would you say would be the main things you would like to work on in the future in regards to your play?

I think it is quite apparent that you are an emotional player TGun. How does this factor into self-improvement in terms of Starcraft 2?
Do you use the anger at losses and the joy of success to drive you? Or does your anger at a loss hamper your play, being something you would like to better control?
Being an unemotionally 'flat' player myself I am interested in how the spikes of anger and joy factor into your career.

When you see the level of skill other players from around the world exhibit, how can you look at your own skill level and strive to be on par or even better than them?

Having been overseas in the past (MLG kR) If you had the chance to revisit, what are the things you would do to prepare before playing in code A qualifier or MLG open bracket or is there anything you would change from what you did last time you were there?
Some would say that you are probably the most emotional gamer in SEA and that you have your emotions on your sleeve when playing. Do you perceive yourself as a very emotional gamer and does it effect the way you play and make it harder to get over a loss or to come back in a series? (bonus question: Is this harder in offline events where you may be out of your comfort zone)
EDIT:
Just watched the last show.. thought it was pretty good... until u guys just kinda spluttered and died at the end... Also when PiG had just answered a question that you were about to ask.. I thought it was unneccesary to have him kind of repeat himself... I'd suggest next time you have a wide selection of questions (how ever many standard you want) but then also have some backup questions or topics for if you run short of the time frame you want to hit. You could even have just all the questions from the thread open while the show is going on.. or if its live streamed open it up to questions from the public in the chat... Just my suggestions.
Ok, video is finally up, issues with Youtube makes me sad but yay! Hope you guys enjoy this, and again feel free to share your comments / complaints in regards to the show and how to improve!
Very interesting interview! Thanks System and Tgun
I love your competitive spirit and hope your team continues to support you. And I agree with your point about Jared. I would be interested to see what happens if ACLs ever put a time limit on set up times.
Notes for improvement for the show:
- Try not to repeat the same question twice if they are very similar. Either combine the questions or omit one altogether.
- JP's Real Talk delves into the interviewee's background in a very personal way, and it is this which makes some interviews very interesting! Perhaps in future you can ensure you prod the interviewee for more detail about their personal life and upbringing. For instance, asking Tgun for a bit more detail about how good he was at tennis or asking about his siblings would offer something that other interviews don't
