Tournament Eligibility: You must be in Masters or Grand Masters League (1v1 - SEA license). Lower players will be disqualified.

Prizes: Winner gets the $100 prize and bragging rights for being the best of the best. $35 for 2nd, $20 to 3rd - *Prize pool may increase
There is also a lucky draw prize! One lucky person shall get $10 just for joining!

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro128: GSL Daybreak (B01 no 2nd game) (R1 on bracket)
Ro64: WCS Cloud Kingdom (B01 no 2nd game) (R2 on bracket)
Ro32: ESV Korhal Compound (B03) (R3 on bracket)
Ro16: GSL Metropolis (B03) (R4 on bracket)
Ro8: WCS Ohana (B03) (R5 on bracket)
Semi-Finals: GSL Bel'shir beach (winter version) (B03)
Finals: WCS Anitga Shipyard (B05)
(3rd Place Match WCS Anitga Shipyard, B03)

Loser can pick from any the following maps:
WCS Cloud Kingdom, WCS Shakuras Plateau, GSL Daybreak, Tal'Darim Altar LE, ESV Korhal Compound, GSL Metropolis, WCS Ohana, WCS Anitga Shipyard, GSL Bel'shir beach (winter version)

* Players are allowed 1 veto each per round. 2 vetos are allowed in the B05 final. First game cannot be vetoed.

i feel like the map pool needs abit of an update, seeing korhal still being used and a few other maps... korhal was removed from ladder last season

We can update it for next months cup. However still require 9 maps in the map pool.

Did a bit of research of tournaments lately (MLG, GSL, TSL4, NASL, IPL, Dreamhack, Homestory and WCS)

These are the 7 "core" maps atm it seems: Antiga Shipyard, Cloud Kingdom, Daybreak, Entombed Valley, Metropolis, Ohana, Shakuras Plateau

Fringe maps are: Atlantis Spaceship, TDA

Then some tournies have their own maps,

GSL: Whirldwind,
NASL: (this is map pool from beginning of season) has older maps that arent used anymore. Shattered/dual site/bel shir.
IPL: Sanshorn Mist.


If youre set on 9, i guess youre only option is to either use the "core" and "fringe" maps, or use a map that barely anyone else uses. Or not use 9 maps.

Of the tournies i listed (MLG, GSL, TSL4, NASL, IPL, Dreamhack, Homestory and WCS) the ONLY tourny to use more than 7 maps in there pool is NASL, and well, NASL sucks. So the "need" to have 9 maps confuses me a lot

9 Maps needed as we run best of 5 finals. 2 vetoes to each player. 9 Maps required, no repeats.

Would be good if we had Atlantis on SEA.

Is there a local map maker in the SEA region? Could be a way to promote local talent by including a map from them and use the core tournament maps.

I think swapping korhal for entombed would be a good idea and then looking for options regarding tal'darim and belshir.
