I recently created a thread, as you can see above^ asking if there are still Malaysian players playing Starcraft 2. If you check, you will notice there are over 250 views and yet only 8 comments. I'm uncertain if this means they are gone or if they just do not wish to post. Of course there is a possibility of people who aren't sc2 players looking at the thread.

It has come to my attention that the majority of Malaysian players in Starcraft have either gone inactive or have switched over to MOBA games (mostly) such as League of Legends and Dota 2. I find this pretty surprising as there have been many LAN events hosted by FXO last year. That is not counting Gamespot or WCG. Even non-major LANs such as Poseidon Internet Cafe having their own LAN event.

I'm not sure if Malaysia's best team "pRodigy", led by pRoTimber has disbanded, but I do not see any of them online anymore. One of our best players, Jyoon if I'm not mistaken has also left sc2 to become a professional LoL player. stimCocain has moved to America ( not a very well known player, but a good one and a friend of mine ) And of course, Malaysia's best, Cobo is never online for me at least. You can see he is still listed on team Duskbin's roster.

Now the reason I created this awful thread is to ask all Malaysians that are still on this site to post here so I know you are still here and also your take on the situation. Keep in mind this is only all the research I have done so my facts may all turn out to be wrong. I would also like to hear your opinion Pandarine

Malaysian player here!

Still very active in SC2. Not sure bout you guys but I know quite a ton of people who still play SC2 actively. Maybe not as active since Dota2 and D3 popped up though. But active enough.

There's definitely more than 4 Malaysians playing sc2. Probably they're not that active on being with the community.

but among my circle of friends, im the only one playing sc2 D: everyone else is playing D3, LoL or Dota 2 :/

Around my circle of friends, I also almost the only 1 playing sc2, the rest are either inactive or only watch it. that's why I'm relying alot on this community to live my passion going.

Just started playing like this month, I choose to ladder in SEA because the quality of players in SEA are so much better compare to US, I mean in lower league.

I'm from malaysia.Progidy is inactive but u can say their disband.pRoTimber comes online once in awhile.And geney is still active.pRoJoko has moved to LoL.Some of the progidy players are still active.
