Diablo Inferno Down (Solo DH) - [WARNING SPOILERS]
Yes, a bit slow but finally got the bastard down (solo). After so many attempts I thought I'd just brag here with a thread (and describe the build I used a little). This boss encounter is really ANNOYING!
Here is my skill setup + dps. With sharpshooter, dps shows as 137k - however it was worth using tactical advantage instead (you really need to escape with speed throughout this fight). Could use vault alternatively perhaps, but I haven't tried.
Stats/DPS:
Skills/Runes:
Why I used these skills:
Hungering Arrow [Cinder Arrow]: Good single-target dps output and hatred generator. Puts a dot that can damage the boss while you aren't casting + has a chance to hit the boss twice (35% pierce chance). This means even if you don't aim directly at the boss, i.e. miss, you still have a 35% chance of hitting him. Nether Tentacles: Hits target multiple times due to its slow speed. Very high dps output using this. Smoke Screen[Special Recipe] - Only had 38 discipline, wanted to reduce its cost with the rune. Why I used smoke screen? Pretty self explanatory. Preparation [Invigoration] - Restores full discipline. With this rune, adds an extra 10 discipline to your max discipline for 5 seconds. This REALLY helps in panic situations where you are out of disc, you can cast preparation and then smoke screen straight after for a free smoke screen (pretty much). Rain of Vengeance [Flying Strike]: This skill can actually stun the boss / shadow clones. I didn't RELY on this, because the shadow clones can still get a shot off in between the flying demon things stunning it - but it can really save you sometimes. The clones spawn at: The start of phase 2, 66% shadow diablo's health, and around 33% (or a bit lower) health. Whenever vanishes, I cast the rain of vengeance where I am standing, since the clone spawns nearby. Then I smoke screen and run off and pray. Companion [Bat companion] - So I can span nether tentacles when I get the chance
This fight is all about MOVING. Gotta keep moving.
Maybe I'll try again at some point and record it - but youtube has many videos on it. I'm just glad it's over for now .
P.S. The bow I used is a 1.3k dps 2h crossbow. However, my dps was WAY higher than what is needed for this fight so don't let that discourage you or anything. People with 30-40k dps can kill this boss (maybe even less, idk). It's more about your play-style than dps.
