At the Australian Blizzard WCS Nationals event players will battle it out for $6000 worth of cash and prizes and then the Top 6 competitors will compete in the Oceanic Finals for a massive $12000!
Well, time to start trying to find a place to stay for this.
Dox didn't copy it to this thread but if you are looking at payed accommodation (motels/hotels) there are plenty of places we suggest that are close by posted on the original thread on ACL.

I would really love to organise a pre-party (or after party) if anyone is interested? I can organise a place to go out for dinner and drink (sensibly of course :P).

This is always a good idea - but the reality is.. people get in late and need sleep beforehand, and it is two long days that last time finished at 2:30 am .. so everyone just wants to go sleep afterwards.. Therefore, there is no good time for ACL partying.. Which saddens me. However, Takiah, it will be your job to make sure this all ends on time - so do that right and we can all go for drinks afterwards (winner pays?) ^_^

We don't intend on making Sydney's finish time a habit.
The staff of ACL have a tradition of Sunday night after-partys so I dare say the gamers themselves could do the same!

Eh? Gold Coast finished on time and people did their afterparty/drinks! Sydney was a once-off mistake.

Harder to do beforehand because people fly in at different times and stuff, Best to play it by ear and see how many you have that are keen on the day. Presuming ACL finishes on time in Melbourne (im sure it will after the lessons in Sydney) an afterparty should be p easy to organize
Nice shout-out about ACL Melb from inFeZa @ Melb Barcraft Yesterday. There would have been around 400 people there. It's that casual crowd we should want to see at tournaments/ACL. Even a small % added to regulars and interstate players would make for a good turnout.
can I register for the moment and pull out if need be I've made myself a deal if I get top 2 at wcs NZ then I'll come over but if I can't achieve that it wouldn't be worth the investment?
No problem man, I don't actually finalise registrations until you arrive at the venue anyway. The online registrations are just for pre-payment and to give us an indication of how many we can expect.

We love the support we get from SC2SEA, let's make this the biggest event yet! Don't forget, not only is this an ACL National event, it's also a Blizzard WCS Qualifier with FOUR spots up for grabs! If you haven't got your ticket to the most prestigious Starcraft event to hit our shores, now's your chance!
Remember guys - you can purchase your entry passes online! This serves two purposes. You score yourself a discount, AND us time taking your payments on the day.
318 Replays have been uploaded. This should be all of the Group Stages, Open Bracket, and MOST of the Championship Bracket too. There's 3-4 series from the Championship Bracket missing - they'll be included later tonight.
PiG vs SundeR from group play is missing, I'm guessing it is lost forever now?
I can look for it tonight after the GGA Cup Qualifier, none of the replays should be missing. I probably just accidentally skipped a few when uploading.
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
